This seems to be referring to just regular dumbphone applications so i dont see what a huge problem it would be anyway. the only V-cast programs i can think of that take up that much bandwidth would be VZnav and.... Vcast. Seriously what else is there?

Jeffdabeat. at&t can't even handle picture messaging support for the iphone they had to go back in and fix their network just to get a basic feature like MMS to work on their flagship iphone. I can assure you Verizon has bajillions (yes bajillions, I researched just as much as everyone else, which usually they don't they just spurt out numbers and fake statistics) of smartphone users that use apps/broadband/data. It may not say apple on it but it does use REV. A and oh my god they have almost 10 million more subscribers than at&t! Weird...they don't seem to have trouble with the picture messaging on the centro, tour, storm, touch pro/diamond, saga, pearl flip, curve, etc. And *GASP* they maintain good speeds more often. HOW CAN THIS BE?!?!? Oh yeah that's right, better network and better business decisions. They may not be the most favorite decisions for you that don't understand how data truly works, but you don't become number one by giving everyone exactly what they want right when they want it. You do it when it makes sense and the support is there. (and if you become number one by buying companies like alltel and qwest where do you think the money came from? Ah yes, better network and better business desicions.) LTE is coming changes will be made it would be silly not to take the 5gb cap off of such tremendously high speeds whether you're at&t verizon or tmobile (sorry sprint you chose wimax).

But what a second sir, the iPhone in only its more recenter iteration of the software can actually do picturemail. Even if AT&T supported it, the iPhone wasn't actually able to do it with its software. Same with tethering unless you jail broke it. So how exact is that AT&T's fault? Folks seem to think that AT&T controls this deal with Apple, but that simply is not the case. Apple makes the phone and AT&T bends to sell it. Apple announces the new software can do picturemail and AT&T has to hustle to make sure it work on a phone that before it didn't. And I understand there are a ton of business users on Verizon. But there are a ton of business users on AT&T as well. The problem isn't the business user, but instead the iPhone users who use an extremely large amount of data in most metropolitan cities. When I had my Touch Pro from Sprint...even with Sprint TV and heavy usage, I never used as much data as I do on my iPhone. That is the same for other iPhone users. Put another phone in their hands and I bet you 9 times out of 10, they are going to use less data because the experience just isn't as nice. Now put those users on a Network like Verizon and I bet you there will be just as many slow down as AT&T is experiencing in major cities. It Verizon's network better than AT&T's? Yes. But is it as full proof as you guys think? No. I will say, you are correct. LTE will correct it all. Faster speeds for a cheaper price and for once, the two major players here in the states will have the same technology. It will make a better experience for consumers.

I personally have far more problems with Apple than AT&T in either situation. I personally wouldn't pay that much for AT&T, and if I didn't work for them and get a discount, I wouldn't have VZW. I don't really favor either company, but I can definitely admit when one has an advantage over the other. As far as you saying VZW would have just as big of a slowdown as AT&T's, I would beg to differ, as you even state that VZW's network is better than AT&T's, so inherently, you're saying that VZW's would stand up better (if only just a small amount). On top of that, I assure you, VZW would have data limitations on the iPhone to ensure there wouldn't be a slowdown. As far as #22, I think they're more referring to the little Apple/AT&T fanboys who hate to admit that their iPhone is nothing more than an iPod Touch with a crappy phone module slapped in there.

Oh my goodness. You Verizon fan boys are so full of BS. It wasn't so long ago that you guys jumped on ATT for not allowing slingbox to work via 3G because of this same issue. Luckily for iPhone users our phones have built in wi-fi like most of ATTs smartphones. Can't say the same for the Storm or Verizons lack luster smartphones.
