Verizon takes over the home button on its version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini

You might remember the uproar that followed when it was discovered that Verizon had its logo stamped into the home button of the Samsung GALAXY Note II; the nation's largest carrier was accused of being arrogant and acting way over the top. Would anyone even think of looking at the home button to see which carrier had launched this particular model?...

we already paid for the phone and the services, a lot already , verizon have to pay us to advertise them on our phone.

I really did not notice the logo till I read this artical I have a note two. Plus rhe picture looks like its actually a note 2

What is Verizon doing in their HQ? Who was the guy who thought it was cute to put the Verizon logo on the home button AND on the back? Smh.

More likely a female. She was correct on the Note 2 and is correct now . Customer response and overwhelming consensus be damned, those are merely facts, she knows better.

why cant they be more like sprint and just not put a logo on their phone? even the sprint version doesnt have a any logos on it

We have to pay a lot of money for the phone and contract. Why would you invade us like that, we already have to deal with loads of crapware from you

Didn't they come up with a sticker that goes over the Verizon note 2 last year? If i was to get this phone id do that and be content and shut up. Now if i brought a cobra mustang and it didn't have the emblems on the side....I'd be pretty pissed....

I'm glad I left Verizon in '11. No stupid locked bootloaders, carrier bloatware to the max, stalled updates for months, and ridiculously over priced plans. As a person who loves to root phones, I feel sorry for VZ customers.

I hate to say it but it makes sense from a business standpoint. Its called good marketing. most logos are put on the back of the body which most of the time gets covered by a case. Verizon isnt trying to sell phones to geeks but to your average Joe. my mom has the Note II: at almost 60 alot of her friends gravitated to her cool phone. instead asking what carrier she was on, it was more about how they are gonna switch to verizon or upgrade and stay with Verizon. Personally ill never buy this phone but Verizon plays chess not checkers.

Everyone complains about Verizon yet they're still number 1. They fill their devices with crap that nobody wants and they're not the friendliest to deal with yet no one ditches them. I guess that's why they think they can do whatever they want. And they've been right so far in thinking that...

I for one think everybody over reacts to logos on their phone. If you think its that bad, there is one simple solution... don't buy it! Its not a bad logo anyway. Its not like you got some hideous monstrosity taking up half the phone. Its like 1% the size of the phone!
I find it hard to believe that this many people complain about something so piddly. Do you guys remove the Honda, Toyota, or Ford decals off your cars too? And I am sure your TV's at home still say Sony, Samsung, or LG on them.
Is that not the same? How about your cable boxes? Did you personally remove the DirecTV, Comcast, or Dish Network logos off them?
Like I said, over reacting! How about we get past this high school behavior and concentrate on real issues.
BTW, I am not a Verizon customer but recently was and I was never bothered by a tiny logo on the face of my phone. That is just a ridiculous thing to complain about!

I was considering Verizon and notice a fee for visual voice mail. Surely they don't tack on a monthly fee for this? The plans all seem so high already.
