Verizon still getting the iPad?

Even though AT&T is the initial 3G carrier for the just announced Apple iPad, it seems that Verizon is not entirely getting shutout...

Don't want it, don't even think AT&T wants it but they have no choice either take it or APPLE walks with everything!

I'm tired of predictions, guesses, and rumors!!! It was these same experts that said it was going straight to verizon. They have also been predicting a verizon iphone every month now for the past 2 years. JUST STOP "REPORTING" THIS BS UNTIL APPLE OR VERIZON MAKES AN OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT! PLEASE

I absolutely agree with Testman22. Everyone was so convinced...SO CONVINCED by every named and unnamed source that Verizon was getting and iPhone...or the iPad. It was almost as if it was truth and not rumor the amount of people that predicted it. And then nothing. In fact, the exact opposite. AT&T actually got the iPad and there was no new iPhone announcement. Again, not to say that it couldn't happen...but seriously dude. I am tired of Apple rumors. I like rumors, but I am over it with Apple rumors. I am going to wait until the thing is announced from Jobs himself. I swear...I think Apple leaks false rumors just to mess with everyone. It would be smart because we will always be surprised.

It's only a matter of time. Just wait for the Summer/June to roll around and we'll all have a better handle on what's going to happen. And you've got to be kidding yourself if you think Apple would drop any hints at a new partnership, before they've even announced anything yet, as that would only put the brakes on currently offered products, which obviously wouldn't be the wisest of choices! But I still find it hilarious that ATTs already suffering network, due to iPhone traffic, is getting another data-hungry Apple device!

Ohhh no Fanboy, an Apple product with VZW wont happen until LTE is fully deployed, is likely to see T-mo with the iphone this year too but that doesn't mean AT&T will stop selling the new ones, so no apple for the big red and their obsolete CDMA network......!!!!! You guys still thinking of that Iphone/VZW urban legend, get over with fanboy is not healthy for y'all
14. remixfa posted on 02 Feb 2010, 10:11 0 0
so.. whats obsolete about VZWs network anyways? the fact that it has about 5x more coverage than ATT? LOL oh wait.. ATT has 3 square miles of 7.2mb/s coverage so they can make that "fastest network" claim.. cuz everywhere else they are SLOWER than VZW. Or is it the super duper important call and surf feature??? LOL Yup, i just couldnt live without calling and surfing at the same time!! ooooh nooooo!! j/k I love fanboys. Luke wilson says some stupid half truths in a comercial and u take it as gospel.. LOL

Vzw has more 3G coverage, not more over all coverage. But still, more 3G coverage doesn't mean better 3G experience- keep in mind I'm not claiming at&t has better 3G anything. Just because Vzw has 3G coverage in FL doesn't mean the kid hanging out in downtown Chicago is going to be browsing smoothly. at&t could blanket every major city in this country w/ solid 3G, to the point where every single customer can get 5 bars of solid 3G every second of the day, and still wouldn't have as much coverage as Vzw when it comes to surfice area. So again, the fact that Vzw has 5x more 3G coverage than at&t is a bit superficial don't you think.

VZW may have tower in every single corner but it still obsolete, period even t-mo has better technology, and speaking about surf and talk at the same time, you guys can't even say it cuz in CDMA nobody can do that, get over with Fanboys y'all stuck in the 90s with verizon.....!!!
22. DOGIEFRESH posted on 02 Feb 2010, 19:01 0 0
Ohhh let me see, 10 times more coverage...!!!! For who.....?? Billy bob and scooter in the deeeeppp south jejejejeje..............3g for the trailor trash of the mountains hahahaha....lol at y'all Fanboys...!!!!

Here is an article done by independent research group Root Wireless: "Root tested VZW and AT&T’s networks in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles-Orange County, New York, San Francisco, Seattle-Tacoma and Washington, DC. According to its data, AT&T’s average download speed ranged from 246 kb/s to 428 kb/s across the seven markets, while VZW’s average speeds ranged from 195 kb/s to 259 kb/s, validating AT&T’s claim of having the nation’s fastest 3G network" So where was Verizon's 3G faster? i'll dread june unless enough customers will leave at&t for another potential iphone carrier... cheers to (hopefully) losing excluvisity. and branded? when was the last time anything by apple was branded?
4. numberonenygfan posted on 01 Feb 2010, 23:20 0 0
i dont think they they really mean that they are going to brand the ipad that comes to vzw with the vzw logo thats a figure of speach.. although.. maybe a little vzw sticker somewhere.. on the back or something... maybe on the box.. who knows... vzw doesnt like having products without their logos.. however their netbooks dont have their logo branded on it... so ... its prob going to have a big apple on the front with some special vzw apps or features.... i dont care what it is as long as its apple and on vzw .. cause if it does well then well get the ipod and all this competition will hit a whole new level

#1 - I just can't trust anything anyone from fox news says #2 - The iPad really isn't too impressive, its just an over-glorified iPod touch and in no way will replace an actual computer. It is a cool concept, and very sleek looking, and I was considering one to replace my now haggard ass macbook, until i saw that it doesn't even run text edit, let alone word, office, or any other function a real computer does. It seems to be just another toy to fluff up apples non-computer department. Maybe the next gen. model will support these functions, but until then, pass. #3 - regardless of what carrier supplies this device, they will not sell, I really think that the wi-fi only model will be the top seller because lets face it, why pay a PHONE company to use something that doesn't make PHONE calls. That just seems stupid to me, especially when there are wi-fi spots (free and paid) everywhere now. #4 - (and the most important) you really can't trust anything anyone in anyway related to fox news says.

Haha I think it's funny how you say not to trust anyone from Fox. I second that. :] But for the iPad and network capabilities, honestly, I think it isn't gonna hit hard till later, sort of like the iPhone. Yea, everyone thought it was cool till it got some huge update, which was the App Store. That is when I saw EVERYONE with one, which made me feel unspecial. :[ I think once it updates, maybe with this rumored iPhone 4.0, then I could see sales kick off. And 3G on the iPad sounds nice because I like using my Blackberry to surf for things, but have a huge screen and being able to surf wherever I go (for the fanboys, I live in the OC, so there's 3G everywhere around me with reception) sounds good. And there is also iWorks coming to the iPad. It's MS Office, just more like MAC Office.

Fox news is the only news out there to trust..... "fair and balanced"..... nobody wants to listen to those pmsnbc and cnn idiots who slobber over you know who all day.
15. remixfa posted on 02 Feb 2010, 10:15 0 0
agreed. cant listen to fox because they are normally the only ones CLOSEST TO THE TRUTH. LOL some people would prefer their liberal spin and praise of the all powerful obama instead of hearing whats really going on. Id still be suprized if you dont see an Iphone on VZW after the excusivity is ended. They wont have any announcements till the ATT contract is over, because it would stall sales of the iphone from the day it was "officially announced" to go to VZW. Tmobile should be a given as well. The only real question is sprint. But why the heck not?

Forget it, Verizon' doesn't want the iPhart or iMaxiPad... and who really cares anyway, I would rather have a phone & Network that works... Obviously if this was to happen it would have been announced last week... so just drop it... Besides who wants the iDiot Phone anyway single tasking, NO Flash player (no flash (cam) either) LOL and that huge ugly bezel on the iPad, how stupid, not made for watching movies, wrong proportions of the screen, If Apple wanted it to be comfortable either direction may as well have made it perfectly Square (ratio) 1:1 .... like 600x600 pixels LOL or whatever it is... they demo movies, but yet I hear it's not made to watch a movie on, well... ridiculous! No front facing cam, for iChat or the like... DUMB move Besides let it bring AT&T's network down lower and lower... until it... iPad = iFail iT&T = iFail lol Maybe AT&T will change their name to iT&T... I say the iPad FLOPS (first gen) for sure!

i cant understand why anyone would buy the ipad, i played around with it for a while, and it is nothing but a glorified itouch. which i got bored with. all the apps in the world would not let me give any money to at&t. for the guy who wrote about the outdated cdma, yes new technology will replace it soon but its the best in this country. at&t cant even keep you connected and tmobile has great customer service and cheap prices but service is shotty there to. i love apple i have an imac and love the company , i wish they would smarten up and open their phones and tablets to other carriers . still wouldnt buy one though until they put in a cam and have flash . i dont understand people on here hoping that it fails , that doesnt seem right, verizon can stand on the truth, it s the best in this country. i love my droid
