Verizon is cutting the price of the HTC Windows Phone 8X to $99.99 with a signed two-year contract which is down $100 from the price of the phone at the beginning of the month and is still $50 off the recent $149.99 price for the phone; with a 4.3 inch screen and a 720p resolution, the HTC Windows Phone 8X has an outstanding 341ppi pixel density...

Best Buy and Amazon Wireless both have it for $49.99 right now.

yeah but best buy and amazon don't have to deal with customers complaining about this issue or the other your walking into a verizon store to cry about it. so why not charge'em less if they are just selling it.
