Verizon says that the Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 will soon be updated to Ice Cream Sandwich
T-Mobile's version of the Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 had already been updated to Android 4.0.4, so why were owners of the Verizon variant still waiting for their update? Alas, we will never know since Big Red has put up information about the update on its web site, including a list of some changes you should expect to see on your tablet once the update is installed.

Software version i905.LP11 is listed as "coming soon" and weighs in at 248MB. It will bring your Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1 to Android 4.0.4. It also gives us a new Quick Panel to help you get to driving mode faster. Pinch-to-zoom has been added in the main menu and in certain home screens emails can now be searched for under date, sender or title. While writing an email, you have two new options which are undo and redo. The photo gallery app has been re-done so that pictures can be resized,  rotated and cropped. The browser now allows you to view pages in desktop mode and as on the Apple iPhone, the rather basic calculator becomes a super scientific calculator when you turn your tablet to landscape. For the rest of the specs, go to the sourcelink.

The update will take 10 to 15 minutes during which time, you cannot use your tablet. When your device has received the update, you will receive a notification. Since it's an OTA update, you merely follow the directions by pressing download and the updating will begin.
