Funny how some people would kept saying they're waiting for VZ to get the Pre and now it all " We never cared for that phone anyway".

I wish the carriers would form football teams so you idiot fanboys (if you feel offended then you're one of them) could argue in a different forum. This is supposed to be a phone forum not a "my carrier can kick your carriers butt" forum. Juvenile. I'm just about sick of this party.

actually bro. this isn't a forum. all we are doing is writing comments about a news article. the forums are in another part of this site. HOCKEY FTW. NEW JERSEY DEVILS.

Remember, Verizon was approached by Apple to sell the iPhone initially, they turned that down. No big surprise here. Palm will be OK as long as other carriers support them.

This is one more time that Verizon shows that it truly either has no clue or doesn't care what people want. Who cares if the Pre is good or bad the fact is Verizon should welcome the chance to have another groundbreaking phone in their midst. I personally could care less about a Pre but that's not the point. Verizon believes they can keep pushing this "We have the best network" stuff down our throat and that will be good enough(by the way I am a Verizon customer). How long Verizon, how long do you want me to back you up when you make dumb choice after dumb choice, and as far as the Sholes goes I would never bet on Motorola for my salvation. Not only did Sprint get the Pre, they have the TP2, they are getting the TD2 and they have the Hero. This is a company that is listed as one of the top 10 businesses to go bankrupt. WTF Verizon, wake the hell up would you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Verizon has the TP2, TD2 is call the Whitestone due out in october, and the storm 2 and motorola sholes. After Thanksgiving, the playing field will be a little more even. You will see.

I mean, aside from Android, the Sholes is nothing, it's Motorola. The last successful product they had was the Startac phones. Everyone has the TP2, will have the TD2, and the Storm 2? I'm pretty sure excitement won't be that much for it, given the lackluster arrival of the original. VZW spends way too many resources on sequels, and we all know what they say about sequels... That they're the same thing with a little different flavor. It's not a bad lineup, however, what if you added names like the Pre to it? Or even the iPhone? Imagine at this point if VZW had gotten the iPhone originally, and then accepted the Pre. Do you realize what VZW's lineup could've been? Right now, it would be TP2, TD2, they may not have introduced the Storm, Sholes, Pre, and who knows what else.

Comparison: Storm: global Pre: not Storm: edits email attachments Pre: doesn't Storm: records video Pre: doesn't Storm: has expandable memory Pre: doesn't Storm: has voice dialing Pre: doesn't Storm: has visual voicemail Pre: doesn't Storm: can be used to tether Pre: can't(another iphone situation?) Storm: hundreds of apps Pre: only 12 at launch Storm: And of course the Network Pre: on the Notwork Oh, and look, the Storm 2 is releasing
58. WKlingbeil posted on 26 Sep 2009, 11:18 0 0
Well, clearly there's nothing wrong with the Storm then.. Oh, except: Storm: Return rate at launch - nearly 50% Pre: Return rate at launch - less than 20% So... Before you go and think the Storm is the greatest phone out, let's keep that in mind. After all, the most important number is sales & return rate, not all of these features you cite, because they clearly weren't enough to make people want to keep it.
59. vzw fanman posted on 26 Sep 2009, 11:34 0 0
yes but that was at launch. the storm has been and is much better now. :-).
60. killingthemonk posted on 28 Sep 2009, 19:15 0 0
I'll give you the return rate at launch was high. RIM dropped the ball on getting the device ready for release, but as fanman states; Storm then vs. Storm now are two different devices, and we also have the Tour out now. Also, Storm 2 shortly.

I always did want vzw to get it but just so Sprint could get the Storm. Will the stoopid get what you pay for motto still stand?
