Who would expect that Verizon will raise the price of a device that has been out for three months now…

LOL. VZW's pretty smart. They raise the prices on these guyz and give a low intro price for the rogue cuz the rogue requires the monthly data!! Believe me...the rogue is worth it.

As for the Versa and Dare.....no one cares about those phones anymore...

The Dare still sells though. I'm starting to see more and more of it even though it came out July of last year.

ya but the versa never really caught on well......liked the dare better actually (no damn detach qwerty)

Is the Envy Touch really worth the extra money? Seems kinna messed up to me.

Why wouldnt they push the phone that requires additional monthly cost to the front of the pack? Expect to see this as a regular occurance

The Rogue's screen is definitely hard to deny though. They put the Rogue right next to the Touch in the store and you immediately want to buy the Rogue once you test out both. Tricky bastards.

rogue is better....AMOLED? theres no beating that

I have the Env Touch and just LOVE IT! but i got it for free because of my free $100 upgrade and the phone was only $100 itself. Idk if i would have paid that $179 for it though.... I would probably just go with the Versa if i was you because wen I bought the env touch, the Versa was $179 or $149 and i was like" F%CK NO are they serious?! The Env Touch is CLEARLY a better phone!" BUT.. LOL if u RLY like the Env Touch and willing to pay the price, get it! And i also recommend getting the Vcast Pack(unlimited data). I just got it a wk ago cuz it got depressing looking all these features that i couldnt use. LOL

i actually played with both the eny touch and the rogue at the same time and i find that although the touch is a good phone and i have always loved lg phones however the rogues is unlike any other samsung phone that ive seen, as a sale rep for verizon i strongly lean towards towards the rogue and it responsive touch screen and many themes and side slide display.

O Also, Its so obvious wat Verizon is doing. They are making it a lose lose situation with the Env Touch and the Samsung Rogue. You either pay the data plan for the Rouge or pay the like $200 for the Env Touch. LMAO very smart though i must say. And Besides the Rogue's bright colorful screen, its not that appealing. The phone actually feels and looks CHEAP to me. I feel like people are giving it too much credict because its "NEWER". When I compared both side by side last wk, it clear that the Env Touch was on a higher level. I would honestly compare the Env Touch to the BB Storm and Palm Pre, Its just a better quality phone that the Rogue.

Um and they lowerd the requirement to data for 9.99 and now you dont have to pay for unlimited MB for Vcast Vpak if you dont do music or Videos...Which a great percentage of customers dont...Open your eyes people the doors are still open and people are still coming in...sprint "has all the great deals" and everyone is leaving...dont just look at the book cover, read your bill and comapre youll see the positive affects.

I may have been sold on the Rogue in the store when I was playing with it. The touch screen was much more crisp and accurate than the EnV Touch's (which I've owned since it came out and am just now selling it), and it had, imo, a much nicer UI. The Versa dropped while the EnV Touch increased, which I saw that one coming from a mile away. I'm so happy it did increase though, because that raises the value of my sale!

Phone Arena some times you are so stupid, "no one expected the price to go up" derrr, Do you remember the release of the Voyager? 349.99!!! Remember that? How about the Env in Silver Green and Orange? 179.99 (on a good month) It was 199.99 introductory. The lowest the EnV (1) ever got was 79.99 after rebate...That's the consistent price of EnV 3 WITH 5 TIMES THE FEATURES!...Id say VZW is being pretty Eco friendly when looking at these prices, why don't you do some research and post about phone prices and features rather than your OPINION and leave all the speculation to the bloggers, because at least we are representing ourselves, and not making phone arena look bad…

Well, let's be 100% honest, the reason the price of these phones has dropped to tremendously is because of the competition. Though I completely hate the iPhone and what it represents and the fools that get off on it everyday, it revolutionized the pricing of devices. If the iPhone 3G hadn't debuted at $199.99, the price of phones would still be extremely high. For instance, the Blackberry 8830 was, I believe $249.99 after rebate at its lowest before the 3G came out. Could you imagine what the Storm would've been priced at without the iPhone's drop? And of course, the Voyager was our "flagship" (if you can call it that) phone when it first debuted. We were pumped with propaganda about how much better the Voyager was than the iPhone just because it had a touchscreen and a 1/2 HTML browser. You are correct though, to complain about the pricing of the EnV 3 and Touch is ridiculous because they both have 3.2 MP cameras, the full HTML browser, which on most other carriers I believe phones that fit that description are at least $150. Maybe 2MP camera phones are down below $100, but with the better camera and the other high-end features on dumbphones, $179.99 isn't horrible for the Touch, but $99.99 was great. Oh, and I posted my EnV Touch at 11:00AM today, and it was sold by 11:15AM, so thank you VZW for the price increase!
