Verizon outs Mobile Email 4.0 for push and corporate email on feature phones
Verizon has its feature phone users who need to access both corporate and personal e-mail on their devices covered now. The carrier just announced Mobile Email 4.0, which builds on to the previous version by allowing true push email, Microsoft Exchange support, Outlook calendar sync, and has a new user interface to top it off.

Feature phones, such as the LG Octane, LG Cosmos Touch, Pantech Crux and the Samsung Zeal, will receive an embedded SMS, which will start the download and installation of Mobile Email 4.0 automatically, or they can update their app manually. Mobile Email is free on a data plan of $15 and above, or comes at $5 monthly if you are on a Pay as You Go data option. Three of those feature phones also received the Skype Mobile application back in November.

This is one of the most annoying calls I get. If you want the capability to do email and you are upset its not working buy a damn smartphone.

It's also available for my phone, the LG Chocolate Touch. And it's much nicer than the old version. It supports attachments! Which for a feature phone, is pretty cool. And it updates your mail instantly. Like I sent an email to myself from my computer once to leave myself a note, and instantly my phone vibrated and said there was a new email. It updates faster than the iPhone. Or at least more often.

Anyways, it's a nice app. OH! It's actually free for data plans of $9.99 or higher. Because I'm still on the 25 MB plan and I got it free.
