After rumors flew back and forth about Big Red and the Palm Pre, the carrier has used Twitter to send a definitive message that the Pre will join Verizon''s 2010 line-up...

I think it is hilarious that PhoneArena refers to the "weren't", which is the rumor they initially published as fact. not once did VZW say that were not going to release the Pre. The few times it was mentioned was to say they were.

Phonearena is not even close to a reliable source of information, they post erroneous information on purpose, as if it gives them some degree of credibility instead of exposing their lack of commitment to what they are paid for. Also know as being lazy and pompous.

Until they have the Iphone they won't be a monopoly. But if they get that next year (rumored) they will have some splainin' to do.............

Hard to call a company that has historically gotten the lower end phones or the better phones later than everyone else as having a monopoly. I was thrilled to hear about the Pre coming to Verizon back in the summer, but seeing how they've been floundering with their app store I'm not so sure how much longer the Palm company is going to be around for. They need to move fast to get apps up, because Google is on a blitzkrieg right now.

They kill me because if it doesn't go along with their carrier/plan then whatever it is and everything about it sucks. Surprised they haven't attacked the Project Black/Dark post more

All i know is if every carrier had the abbility to have any cell phones with the discounts and all that would make it so that the quility of the services would be the selling point and not the stupid phone. I am all for all carriers getting every phone. Where i live verizon than sprint than att then tmobil in that order has the best current coverage in both calls and high speed data. Also why not mention the omnia 2?
