Apple has succeded at making us all believe the iPhone is the first, foremost and best. Mission accomplished. This is redicluous that every touch screen phone that is released is compared to the iPhone. Does every car with a V-8 engine get compared to a Corvette? The iPhone is a really COOL phone and I am a pretty big fan of apple, but STOP COMPARING EVERYTHING TO THE IPHONE!!!

for the people the already have the LG Dare...... how good are the speakers??... i always listen to my MP3 music from my phone ( without headphones) so are they really loud??? are there any phones that will compare to those old nextel phones wit the speakers....

89. clifford81 (unregistered) posted on 26 Jun 2008, 20:32

the speaker is pretty loud when listening to music without a headset.. plus the different settings for sound effects make a difference in loudness as well

91. (unregistered) posted on 26 Jun 2008, 20:43

the speakers are not very loud when you're not using a headset. but other than that it's a sick phone. Just got hooked up with one today for FREE(tax only)...my friend is a manager at a Verizon store and they just got them in the shipment so i rushed down there to pick it up and extended my contract for 2 yrs. This phone is off the hook! The video capture is awesome and the touch response is definitely better than the Voyager. It's very compact and lighter than the enV2. Lovin it, now i just gotta find some way to put a new browser on it. Good luck you guys hope you get yours soon!

Samsung Instinct from Sprint is better!! WIt A NETWORK 2 BACK IT UP

92. (unregistered) posted on 26 Jun 2008, 20:44

Well your "Instinct" should've told you that Verizon's network is larger and much more reliable.

95. (unregistered) posted on 26 Jun 2008, 21:23

consumers reports just voted sprint the worst cell phone comp again!!! so ur instinct is shit worthless!!! verizon is king!!! best cell coverage bar none!!!

"WIT A BETTER NETWORK 2 BACK IT UP" Sprint made a big mistake by sending the town's retard to defend their honor.

114. jaja (unregistered) posted on 27 Jun 2008, 13:28

sprint does actualy have the best data network. better than verizon. i have sprint and verizon. mogul for sprint and q9m for verizon just to specify. i have used them both for internet on my lap top and the sprint is a tad faster than verizon. but verizon does give me better signal. one more thing customer service is good in verizon not so well for sprint. o and yah i work for sprint lol but i do give good customer service to my customers. lol

115. T-DAWG posted on 27 Jun 2008, 14:25

So basically you just said "Sprint doesn't have the best data network." Hello, data needs a good signal. Oh, and I'm Trevor widger, I just signed in.

141. (unregistered) posted on 30 Jun 2008, 13:52

yah vz has better signal. u get more bars.... were i live i have good reception on both sprint and verizon... full bars.. but wen i travel alot i do notice vz has more bars in more places.. like i said sprint does downloads faster dan VZ. i will post a speed test on dsl reports soon just havent had time

i have a question for the people who have purchased one...is the memory card slot inside the phone? or on the side like the voyager?

132. (unregistered) posted on 27 Jun 2008, 22:56

Side.

98. (unregistered) posted on 26 Jun 2008, 22:23

on the side like the Voyager

I would like to see the person who honestly thinks they can put up a fair argument about whether the iPhone is the reason for these spontanious touch-screen phones. Every person who seems to argue with me just gets mad and logs off. They just can't face the facts. Is that so hard to beleive?

100. (unregistered) posted on 26 Jun 2008, 22:42

thank you that made the phone even better lol thats what i hated about the glyde...thats a main reason why i got rid of it other than how it sucked and constanly shut off haha

101. (unregistered) posted on 26 Jun 2008, 22:50

LOL sure thing... I'm glad I didn't get a Glyde.

102. xev (unregistered) posted on 26 Jun 2008, 22:52

shouldn't it be possible to use the samsung instinct on verizon? you just wouldn't get the sprint multimedia stuff. im sure neither network would want to do it at this point since both just released such similar phones, but later on.. and sure you wont get official support for the phone, but who cares.

To that moron who made that crack about The Voyager not being the iphone...I say Thank God it is not. I had the iphone for 3 months and I sold it for the Voyager. I have absolutely no regrets. The last firmware upgrade has made the Voyager's browsing experience a close second to the iphone. What, you say, the iphone has that youtube link? Well, any video you see from youtube on the iphone can be seen on the Voyager AND the Voyager shows viewers' comments...the iphone doesn't. Want to watch TV on the iphone or the Dare? Sorry-NO TV. MMS on the iphone? NOPE Video capture on the iphone-NOPE Want to change your iphone battery? Pay $85 and get a loaner for 3 days while yor phone is sent out for battery replacement....Need to resize that image on the browser? Pinch...with the Voyager it is a quick and easy push of a rocker button. Even stuff being added on the iphone 3g has been on the Voyager like bulk email deletion...having trouble typing? Use the keyboard on the iphone and Dare..what???? Both phones do not have a keyboard? The Voyager has a full Qwerty keyboard....well, there are other phones...let's see...I want to see the desktop version of the nytimes.com on my phone....iphone-check...Voyager-check...Instinct-NOPE-Only the wap version....Lg Vu...Nope, only the wap version....Glyde owners, want to access the mobile version of youtube.com like you can with the Voyager? Well, DREAM ON because the Glyde cannot access m.youtube.com...Take all of your great phones and line them up against the Voyager and they ALL fall short.
