personally, i only have to keep a phone for 5 months before its free... ill explain. i have a demo line, so its free. i get 3k mins, unlimited txt/pix and vz nav. i get half off my vcast and half off other features (like ringback tones and such)... so my bill is like 15-20/month with tax. so if the phone is 500, and i save about 100/month, i get a phone about every 5 months (i usually do it every 2 or 3 months, and sell the old phone.

Thats better than what corporate employees get. We just get 50% off the plan and all features(except insurance) Our phone discounts suck, people who have employee discounts(best buy, wells fargo etc...) get better prices on their phones than us, it seriously is lame. In august I hear we start getting "better" prices on our phones, I doubt it We get to upgrade every 10 months though, so I guess thats cool

damn that sucks.... well actually we have 2 options. i got lucky enough to get a demo line from the store. for the most part, the option if for employee plans, which is probably more like what you guys get... the corporate stores have all live working phones, those phones are on demo lines. the difference if i get to take mine with me :)

Anyone else having issues with the touch screen responsiveness?

I just wanted to say that lg came out with the prada first... why? because if you look at the specs and the timeline, lg thought of the prada first. The iphone was copied from the prada. Look it up champ, won't be hard to find. The dare is a variation of the prada. So if you say that all touch screen phones are about the iphone? no, they should be about the prada. Or if you want to go back before that... you have everysingle windows and palm devices that are touch screen, you just use a stylus for the most part instead of your finger. So will people please stop saying that the iphone started the touch screens, that's not even anywhere near being true.

So I finally got some hands on playing time with this bad boy and it is definitely a step above the Voyager (which I don't think is all that bad). Touch screen feels morwe responsive and scrolling is a lot easier too. Also the music player was redesigned and is MUCH MUCH better too.

i know the phone says you can multi-task, but can you listen to music and text and other stuff like on the chocolates and the venus? if not that would really suck, possibly a deal breaker (for me anyway, im sure most wont care)

i got a sweet deal with the New every 2... i paid just $99.99 for the phone.. $50 instant discount and $50 mail-in rebate... can't beat Verizon.....

That isn't right man do the math. I too had a the New every 2 and the $50 discount. And the phone came up to $149.00. If you get the instant discount from the website then you don't get the mail-in rebate

Just got hooked up with one today for FREE(tax only)...my friend is a manager at Verizon store and they just got in the shipment so i rushed down there to pick it up and extended my contract for 2 yrs. This phone is off the hook! The video capture is awesome and the touch response is definitely better than the Voyager. It's very compact and lighter than the enV2. Lovin it, now i just gotta find some way to put a new browser on it. Good luck you guys hope you get yours soon!
