Verizon offers wireless admission tickets to V Cast Music subscribers

Verizon Wireless has become the first mobile operator to distribute tickets on mobile phones. This happened last night when the carrier not only sent TXT messages to notify and invite its V CAST Music subscribers to the Fugees ticketed free open-air concert, celebrating their reunion, but also offered them wireless admission tickets. All customers, requesting a ticket, got a PIX Message, containing a unique barcode on their V CAST Music-enabled phones, to be scanned at the show entrance. Verizon Wireless also gives its V CAST Music subscribers access to more than a half-hour video, showcasing the highlights of the concert. Moreover, customers will be able to purchase and download Fugees' recordings from the reunion concert on their V CAST Music-enabled phones for the price of $1.99 a song.
