Verizon launches the kid-friendly LG Migo phone

Verizon Wireless has launched the LG Migo wireless phone, which is specially designed for children. The basic dual-band CDMA phone, which offers simplified keypad and interface, is available for the price of $149.99 with an one-year agreement or even as low as $99.99 with a two-year one. The main features of  the LG Migo are:

  • 4 speed-dial keys with a capacity of 4 parent programmable numbers
  • a dedicated emergency key
  • built-in speakerphone
  • 32-chord polyphonic ringtones
  • GPS

My eight-year-old son has a phone for himself. It is called the Just5 phone. It is something that I see that is perfect for him. The phone is very basic and so is easy to use. Plus, the phone has personal emergency response features to help him in unexpected situations in just a press of a button.
