i dont think the visual voicemail was supposed to be included in the firmware update...i think they just were offering an over the air download app. we will see though

whether you want to believe it or not the fact of that matter is that Apple approached Verizon with the phone first before the phones prototype was even created. once Verizon and Apple couldnt reach an agreement Apple went to ATT and thus the iPhone was created in a GSM version. i dont really feel like bickering with people all day on the site...but let me just point out that this was a Verizon topic and you guys chose to click the link and add your 2 cents. if you dont like Verizon keep it moving, but the fact remains that verizon gains more customers and loses the least amount of customers...and these numbers arent fabricated theyve been published by BOTH Verizon and ATT. so bit the bullet and accept the fact that Verizon is a more profitable company with the largest amount of loyal costumers and the largest amout of new customers DESPITE the release of the iPhone. Verizon didnt need the iPhone and we've proven it quarter after quarter... P.S. you guys are throwing teh term fanboy around like its a frisbee when really you are a prime example of a fanboy....i mean you took the time to enter this topic and start bashing and arguing with people over something that had no interest to you. hmm and you call them fanboys...i dont really see alot of verizon "fanboys" entering ATT topics and bashing the article, i wonder why that is...

losing customers is inevitable for ALL carriers. some people join the military and cancel while they go over seas, family deaths, some decide that they really dont need a cell phone at all. but keep in mind this is retail so its impossible to make every single customer happy...especially in the wireless industry so if someone is upset about a bill or faulty device or they simply want to shop around then they sometimes cancel. but OVERALL verizon loses the LEAST amount of its customers. im more than willing to have a discussion but could you atleast try to refrain from all of the childish antics such as calling me a "fat-head fanboy"

Look here is the one thing even GayTT fangirls cant argue with, and that is our call quality on VZW. It is cleaner, crisper and without the static and interference that comes through old GSM networks....sure the fangirls will say I have a BEAST of a phone because I can out brickbreaker and my ringtones on it with out paying for it ( so can I with ANY Verizon phone, havent bought a game or a rington or any app EVER on my VZW phone ), and sure they will say I can take my SIM card out and use it on any phone I buy as well ( so can I , except I just do a serial # change which is easier and more secure....more secure because if I steal your GSM phone, all I need to do is put a sim card in it and now it is MY PHONE )...sure they will exclaim I get rollover minutes ( you PAY for roll over minutes !! and they disappear after a year, or if you get a new phone, or if you make a change on your acct....so you get ROBBED is basically what your proclaiming...congrats...I can change my plan anytime I want with no additional charge and no extension of my contract, ALOT better than PAYING for ROLLOVER that GaYTT is going to take away from me ).... and they are going to say I GOT THE I PHONE ( whooopity do, you got a phone that gets 3g coverage in 32% of America, is cheaper than ANY of my touch screen phones, doesnt have insurance, doesnt have a warranty, doesnt ring louder than a butterfly scream, cant remove the battery and replace it, doesnt have pic and video messaging, has one of the worst cameras I ever saw, making ringtones for that phone is a JOKE, it sounds like crap when your on the phone, almost 20% have been over heating and causing the backs to melt, battery life is somewhere around 3 hours of talk out the box and if you need to replace it you must spend about $700..... Wow I would be SOOOOO proud too....rock on. I didnt even get into how much cheaper our data features are and how much faster our data speeds are...I didnt want to make this burn too much that you GaYTT fangirls might take a leap out a window. pwned.

i totally agree every carrier has dropped calls, however verizon has the least and its proven. why am i a FAN BOY just because i actually like my cell phone carrier. fan boy is a gay name, stop using it, lol hahaha. i think its good appl brought out compititon, some people are sick of the same phone companies- sony, lg samsung, nokia. im not trying to get you to switch, im just stating why verizon is a tad more ahead of AT&T.

WOW! No wonder our prisons are becoming crowded... what happened to our society? This is pretty scary. Ignorance to education is the biggest sin in my opinion. Youmail is so much better than ATT Verizon or anybody else trying to get this visual voicemail out. Youmail has been doing it for a while and it works and functions much better than any cell phone company's voicemail service and better yet it's totally free so I am pretty happy. You guys need to take a look at their service! There is no comparison.
