Verizon launches Samsung A870

The Samsung SCH-A870 is an entry-level CDMA phone and as expected the 2-megapixel camera and EV-DO support turn out to have been just rumors, as these are not present. The camera is a VGA one, but at least the handset has Bluetooth support. The device measures 3.6 x 1.8 x 0.85 inches (91x46x22 mm) and weighs 3.4 oz (96 g).

The Samsung A870 is now available on Verizon's web site at a price of $49.99.
