Quit teasing us! Just post SOLID release date info. I've been waiting for the last 3 months for the Omnia II release, only to get hit weekly with BOGUS release dates and rumors.

Unless I forgot how to read i'm pretty sure that I didn't see anything that mentioned the Omnia II in that screen shot. All it mentioned was a certain phone that the Verizon rep believes is releasing in the next week or two, but nothing about the Omnia II. How do you know that they weren't talking about the Rogue? Its another Samsung phone that you (unofficially, again), have said is coming out in about a week or two. PhoneArena, you are getting ridiculous! Its annoying that you keep on posting unofficial release dates and these stupid articles. Unless you see solid evidence about a certain phone releasing or news that impacts a company, don't waste our time.

The only two Samsung Phones releasing next week are the Rogue and the Intensity. The Omnia 2 is showing in our cellebrite and in our inventory but the count show is zero. I expect us to do a big Samsung launch in the month of September with it ending in the release of the Omnia 2.

I agree with you, and it is annoying that fake dates are put out but to be fair no one is forcing you to check these articles out, so technically you are wasting your own time by choice dude.

While it would be nice for Verizon customers if this phone was indeed announced/released within a week, this chat session doesn't sound too promising. The VZW employee uses "maybe", and "should", and overall, doesn't sound too confident in any information VZ may or may not give out. On a side note, it would be nice if this phone was made available on Sprint...

Does anyone know if the Omnia II is released if VZW will still carry the Omnia (1) for a while? My upgrade isn't until Feb 2010 and I really need this phone (the Omnia 1, Omnia II would be MUCH more expensive).

Right now the Omnia I is going for $99.99 online with agreement. It won't get much cheaper than that, and like anything end-of-life, it'll probably be gone when inventory is gone and that's it. But the Omnia II will probably be shipping in the $200-250 range (anything less than that and people will just go with something else, the Pre, iPhone, Tour, Storm 2, etc.). And if you really need the Omnia today, you can snag one off of ebay for a decent price.

Omnia 1 is still going to be around till end of year or when we sell out of it. Omnia two is replacing and I expect it to be the same cost as what the Omnia 1 originally was.

Ok lets just put this to rest. The testers just got this phone in their hands in the last week or so...from that point we're usually 30-60 days from release pending the findings... The Omnia 2 will not launch until september sometime. They are trying not to flood it with the touch pro 2 and diamond 2...both of which are ridiculously nice...
