As a Droid X owner I the problem is Blur it's just flawed. It suck for 2.1 in still sucks for 2.2. Motorola makes great hardware, but their software simply is no good. Bring back AOSP Motorola, like the DROID 1 had.

Yes because going backwards to a generic OS is good for business in the cell phone world.

Shows how much you know. AOSP is way better than Blur. Updates come out faster, modding is way easier, it is really open source, not open source but if you do this or that we will punish you. Blur is going backwards AOSP is the best Android OS.

I love motorolas phones, there great! the droidx rocks, but I have had some problems since the 2.2 update, noy my 3g conectivity seems to be affected, sometime now it will not connect? I still love my droidx though. The fascinate feels too cheap, and droid 2 does not have as many nice features of my x. But I would like the software fixed.

The phone is crap. Good luck getting moto to fix the phone. they know about the problems because they caused them. I see no mention of the text order problem. Go to moto's x forum. problem after problem!

Good thing you went back to your iPhone. Which case did you get?

One of those known issues is apparently the creation of jackasses like Hawk. See, his poor brain couldn't handle the awesomeness presented by his properly working X, so he snapped, declared that it was worthless, and proceeded to return the phone, get an iPhone, and then come to Phonearena and bash the X, Motorola and Android as much as he could.

Why did they cap the amount of threaded text messages in 2.2 when it was uncapped in 2.1? They only issues I experience are the music player errors, it doesn't play when the screen shuts off and the messages come in some non-chronological order. I used Handcent to correct the text issue, but that shouldn't happen whatsoever. They'll fix it and maybe lighten up Blur some more. Gingerbread compatible for the future? We'll see...

I've gone to 3 or 4 Verizon stores to see if I could come across a Droid X that had 2.2, but none of them did. Did they stop the update as soon as they heard about the problem that was in it?

Some phones are still shipping with 2.1 but you can manually update any X to 2.2 by going to the system updates part of the phone.

Hawk got the case that automatically makes his phone have no problems at all. No antenna problems, no glass scoring problems, and a totally better customizable UI.......oh yea and it makes him king of the world.

Of coarse they are aware... when did you guys once put up an article about Jobs DENYING the fact that the iphone had major issues with its antenna and signal. You guys only post things from a negative outlook toward VZW. Fanboys.
