Amid talk that the Motorola Moto X is just "weeks away" from being updated to Android 4.4, owners of the Verizon branded version of the device are receiving invitations from Motorola to take part in a soak test. Motorola conducts these tests to seed a small number of devices with software update. This way, the wholly-owned Google subsidiary can make sure that every is working as it should be...

it's very possible.
these soak tests are supposed to go out 2 weeks prior to the rollout.

It's just insane how fast Motorola is pushing these updates. Hopefully the new Droids will follow shortly, last time it only took 2 and a half weeks for the Droid series to get the same update the Moto X did.

"Do not post any details or information about this on any public sites." lol. I hope it's 4.4. Motorola could set the example by releasing fast updates

Who would have thought...Motorola and Verizon coming out with timely updates. Wow, that's great though. I'm liking this new chapter.

Probably since Verizon has been partnered with Motorola for so long now that Google has 'em Verizon will be nicer to them. Just a thought.
This makes the Moto X quite tempting.

This could also mean the LTE Band 4 update that was just released to the MAXX and RAZRs earlier this week.
