Verizon confirms interest in Canada

The other day, we told you that there was some talk about Verizon making a play for Canada's WIND Mobile as a way to grab a toehold in Canada; WIND has but 600,000 subscribers, a drop in the bucket compared to Big Red's customer roster. But as we pointed out, once establishing a beachhead up north, Verizon would be eligible to bid for spectrum in the country and grow out the business by undercutting the price of Canadian operators...

Yeah, right!!? My brother has T-Mobile's so-called "Unlimited" in Miami and he's got to use Wi-Fi on his Note 2 because he just can't get consistent 4G LTE.
You probably did 850MB and just read it wrong.

Dont disrespect me,, i know what the diff is between MB and GB.. and it is unlimited with the $20.00 add on I have the NOTE 2 and im perfectly fine,, and do your research AT&T and TMobile have the fastest LTE in the US,, where is your precious Verizon at? Just digging a hole deeper in your wallet.

Dude, I'm GRANDFATHERED UNLIMITED DATA, after my corporate discount I pay $23.99 for my data feature. The only thing weighing down my pockets is all the money I save for being GRANDFATHERED!
And, I also have a Note 2; I have also compared the speeds between Verizon's variant against T-Mobile(less) and Sprint's version. You have my sympathy; go make one of your device "Installment Payments" this way (if you're lucky) you can BEG T-Mo' for your Unlock Code!

I dont have to resort to any of that i paid for my phone outright!! get a clue and try again.. Why dont you pay full price for your phone just to keep your grandfathered... what a joke

You clearly must be one of the few "loyal" Verizon customers that receives a free catheter and tube of KY Jelly monthly from them along with your bill, because very few other Verizon customers do.
Also, Fran Shammo wanted to relay the message that you need some new kneepads because your current one's are getting worn out.
Peace out, flake.

I don't use knee pads anymore, with all the money I save on my Grandfathered Unlimited Data Plan, I just pay your Mom. And, thanks for reminding me, I promised to get her some new knee pads but, tell her I'm having a hard time finding the steel-reinforced knee pads that she asked me for.

Well thats good for you im on atts grandfathered unlimited data used 20 gigs last month no problem. Btw I feel bad for all my friends on verizon , verizons lte is way slower than what I get on att lte.

I have had to use wifi as well with Verizon when i was with them,, they have alot of issues with there 4g sim cards going faulty as well and no one had more outages that Verizon,, and my boss and co workers with Verizon phone showed 3g at least with ATT & TMOB you have a backhaul HSPA+ and what stupid answer does Verizon give>? You know,, the answer everywhere online they gave to there loyal customers. Only thing holding up Verizon is there customers and that alot of people are in contracts and cant make the move yet.

Verizon is one of the most expensive of all carriers. This may be bad for canadians. but Verizon would upgrade the network.

Yes, Canadians should be grateful that it's not DISH or Clearwire looking to buy Wind!!

F**K verizon! from what i understand Verizon always locks the android phone bootlock, has expensive plans, forwards your data to other companies and government, sucks at updating android versions on phone.
Wind is great as is, the only downfall is their 5mb/s 3g speed.
and their unlimited data is actually 5gb after than you get throttled, but none the less im better off with that than paying more than $25 a month.

Verizon is the biggest thieves and crooks in the World too!!!

You're just bitter; you sound like that famous iOS jAiLbreaker who took to Twitter this week over the new Rainbow iOS 7 Beta.

You're the only one bitter here, flake.
You have to be a stockholder or a paid gimp.

Yay! I love the empire! The empire ROCKS!
Seriously, I use Verizon because they have the widest coverage, not because I like the company. But hey, if this deal means I'm not longer roaming in Canada, I'm all for it.

wow, all of this hate for verizon. it's quite hilarious to me, since I've been with them for 11 years. I have no issues with them whatsoever. yet i constantly hear tmobile, sprint, and even at&t customers around me B******** about their service, dropped calls, customer service, etc. now, I pay about 15% more than most of them, but dammit, when I need a signal, I get one. I don't drop calls, and when I call customer or tech services, they help me. I'm not rolling in money, but i need a phone service that actually works when I need it to work, not when it's convienient for them. if the others work for you, fine. stick with it, but you do get what you pay for.
