Ask for a loyalty voice plan (non-published) and do your texting through Gmail/Google Voice and WhatsApp.

In all honesty I feel like I mostly get what I paid for (very reliable service and data). I also get a nice 25% discount on my plan, phones and accessories.

Wrong!!!.....
Verizon is SuperKing and Big Red has nothing to worry about, especially if Sprint/Softbank keeps their Customer dis-Service Calling Centers outsourced.
Sprint/FujiYamaKawasaki = Outsourced Customer dis-Service and 4G without LTE in most markets.
AT&Tragic = Consumer Reports Worst Carrier 3 Years In A Row (LTE or not)
T-Mobile = Outsourced Customer Service and no LTE
Verizon = American Customer Service with 4G and LTE and the only Galaxy Note II iteration in the U.S. with Multi Windows, 4G and LTE!!!
Thank you Verizon for being #1; I ♡ you and I ♥ my Galaxy Note II ☆

Just to correct about the multi windows on the note 2 Sprint rolled that update out before the note was even released on Verizon
(just to be correct)

Did they forget how often their LTE service went down?
5. PAPINYC (limited) 4 days ago posted on 05 Dec 2012, 20:04 4 1
Pleeeeeaze, at least they had LTE (to go down).
Big deal, LTE out a couple of hours but 3G was still available; the other carriers barely have that!!

Poor Mxy, he just can't get his head around the concept that there are better solutions available besides AT&T and iPhone.

Virgin Mobile (and stop the whining)
$35/mo
There's also Assurance Wireless, I see their commercials on TV from time to time.

You forgot to specify: 4G LTE with Multi Windows (cuz' T-Mo and AT&Triteful don't have Multi Windows and Sprint doesn't have a 4G LTE G-Note II in most markets)
lol.....
Posted using my G Note II 4G LTE with Multi Windows on VZW's network.
You go boy!!

Yeah, the multiple windows has to be the current jaw-dropping thing for 2012. I get the same response when I show 2 open windows as I did showing LTE download speeds on my RAZR in 2011 - jaw dropping envy. It cuts through all of the poseur superiority of the iPhone crowd.

Ha-Ha, me too.
I pull out my G Note II and it's like equal to two whole iPhones in size. Suddenly, I see the people around me with iPhones hide their iPuny phones. Multi Windows they asked, they can't even fit one window right on their iDuds (and, now they have a 5th row - ooooooooooh)
18. Mxyzptlk posted on 05 Dec 2012, 21:21 1 6
I don't recall the iPhone being the subject here. But you are right. There are better solutions besides the iPhone. It's called the iPhone 5 :P

A couple hours too many times is embarrassing for a company that supposedly has the most "reliable" network.
AT&T and T-Mobile at least have far superior 3G and HSPA to fall on without LTE. The speeds on those networks are more than enough.
13. Whateverman posted on 05 Dec 2012, 21:05 0 1
"WENT" being the operative word. VZW is back to being the most reliable service, period. Now my Razr burns rubber 365/24/7 and no other carrier can keep up with them. I can only hope others will eventually catch up, but for now...VZW is KING!
15. PAPINYC (limited) 4 days ago posted on 05 Dec 2012, 21:11 0 3
They will never catch up; they're too immersed in their outsourced Customer Calling Centers and their half-baked 4G (3G really).
27. cripton805 posted on 06 Dec 2012, 03:14 0 0
They might be the most reliable, but they treat their old customers like trash and get rid of the incentives they once signed up for.
No more unlimited data
$30 upgrade fees on top of upgrade price
Ridiculously high pricing for service
Crappy plans
I willingly paid for terminating my contract early after they switched everything up. They gave me plenty of reasons to get rid of them. Id rather switch to another company that treats their old customers well. Once Sprints LTE takes off, theres no reason for anyone to stay with VZW.
Hell, id rather go prepay if I have to avoid VZW.
29. Whateverman posted on 06 Dec 2012, 10:45 0 0
I agree. That exactly why I hope other carriers can catch up. The list you went through is the exact same list I gave the customer service reps, when she ranked why I wanted to leave VZW.
The only reason I haven't left yet is I have two lines still under contract. Six more months and I will be gone. Im also just nervous about getting crappy service. As much as I don't like the last few moves they've made, the one thing I can say is, I ALWAYS have a strong signal everywhere I go.
30. dwillopp posted on 06 Dec 2012, 11:53 0 0
Sprint's upgrade fee is $36...enjoy. Isn't "ridiculously high pricing for service" and "crappy plans" the same thing?
31. cripton805 posted on 06 Dec 2012, 15:13 0 0
Sprint has better promos than VZW for phones if bought from their website or retail stores. They also still charge activation fees and through Sprint online its waived. I used to be happy to pay more for VZW, but why should I support a company that has treated their customers wrong. This article supports that and shows how cocky and arrogant their CEO really is. I would take my stocks and run before they drop.
High priced service and crappy plans are completely different.
High pricing=expensive
Crappy plans=minutes, data, bundled up, etc...
32. dwillopp posted on 06 Dec 2012, 15:28 1 0
The biggest complaints Verizon customers have is, "the pricing is too high" which is typically followed with, "but you are the only carrier that gets signal where I live." That statement in itself contradicts itself. Like saying I love the BMW because the quality is so high, but the price is too much. One man's "cocky" is another man's "confident." Why do you forsee them dropping? Verizon continues to post the best numbers for subscriber growth quarter after quarter.
33. cripton805 posted on 06 Dec 2012, 16:41 0 0
Unless you live in a very rural area, just about every carrier has good service here in CA including $40 Page plus, Metro, and even Virgin.
You would have to try to find someone with bad coverage. All cariers have spots where they aren't as good. I couldn't get service with Verizon in our casino, yet I get excellent Sprint service. And I'm sure one day I will find a place where I won't get Sprint and get VZW.
Unless you are in an area where only one carrier works, then you probably should stick to that carrier obviously. Regardless who it is.
