do people really still need a physical qwerty keyboard in a mobile?

it's still preferable for enough.
show me a Droid 5 and i wouldn't be shy to stack it up against my MAXX HD to decide what will be my daily driver.

Yes. I like to know what key I am about to press "before" I actually press it. With a touch screen keyboard, you cannot feel where the edge of the keys are, so you end up making more errors. I find it very frustrating ever since my old keyboard phone died and I had to get one without a physical keyboard. It's been 4 months and I would say that I am tolerating the on screen keyboard.

Just got the mocks and a couple of live models in today. I think it's a worthy successor, especially since the original kicked so much ass in sales.

We also have a bunch of Note 2s in, as well as the mocks for all the carriers. Just sold a Sprint one today to a customer who came in asking for it. I also have people who are waiting on us to start selling it and/or have already gotten it direct from the carriers and love it.

If a customer needed a Keyboard phone. I refused to sell the stratosphere. I thought there were better devices out there for the money. The Droid 4 is a bit more. but totally worth it. the Pantech Marauder is a great QWERTY Device too.

At the time that the Stratosphere was live, it was awesome. It was a great budget phone. I don't trust Pantech. Too many complaints. Just like LG.

Glad I'm not the only one that liked that phone for the right customers Sniggly. Also, I'm not a big fan of Pantech. The Breakout on Verizon was so hit or miss. Either it worked great or hardly at all lol.

Not happy with Verizon Android lineup this fall the Nexus 4 has no LTE means no Verizon which I wouldn't have bought anyway cause its nothing special. I want a stylish looking phone with LTE, power under the hood, camera at 12MP+ battery with at least 2500 MaH and not more than 4.7 inch screen is that to much to ask for?

8. CRICKETownz posted on 13 Nov 2012, 08:35

i think you are looking for the Galaxy SIII sir/madam...if you can ignore the .1 inch bigger aspect & the 12MP+ (-) 4MP+. Power under the hood (check); stylish (check); LTE (check); 2500 mAh (not sure, but mine gets about a day & a half on one charge w/a good amount of usage).

RAZR MAXX HD maybe? Slightly larger than 4.7" but only very slightly, and a good looking phone to boot. There's your best option, taking away the camera requirement.

I would say that it should be really soon, considering in my local Walmart ad, it says they're going to have it on sale starting Black Friday (going until Dec. 1) for $49.88. It looks like you also get a $100 gift card with the purchase of any smartphone. It's online, on page 30-31 of my local ad. S3 only $129 with same deal as well. Wish I would have waited! Lol.
