Looks like the last of Motorola's old boys are getting ICS, that closes that book. Only forward looking with phones hosting 1GB of RAM can actually utilize JB. Verizon as usual always testing only to ensure that you can't somehow get free tethering with the build for phones on their network, whilst adding useless apps that no one actually uses. Bionic is just 16 months old and now is finally updated to ICS, about time too but that phone isn't all that good as in 4G mode it burns through batteries in no time flat. Better late than never, and much better than not having it at all.
side note can anyone decipher what the bloke above me wrote, I looked at it forward, backward and up and down and still have no idea what he is going on about, would help if he used some sort of acceptable grammar...I digress...bet the mods won't even pick up on plain old trolling from this one either.

My guess would be "ICS? Really Verizon? I don't know what's worse, the ICS update when it isn't even the latest version or that the flop that was the Droid Bionic is getting it."
I have had several encounters with these type of people but to decipher their code is still harder than cracking the firewalls of governments.

I find it insulting to see Verizon being actually happy about releasing ice cream for the Bionic when not only is it not the latest OS but it took this long to get the older version of it. I really do wonder at what point are they proud of themselves for releasing this.

Its about time. But wow this is ridiculous. For sure never buying another Motorola, think I'll drop Verizon too...

The Bionic uses the same internals as the Razr and Droid 4, both of which have had ICS for months. What could possibly have been the hold up? The Bionic is barely over a year old, it shouldn't have taken any longer to approve an update.
