VZW... Please, I beg you, don't make those little tweaks to the Touch Pro 2 that you did to the Touch Pro... That's like the lowest selling device there ever was. First off, it's like.... $10,000, and on top of that, it is inferior to the offerings of all the other carriers (Fuze, Sprint's Touch Pro, Alltel's...).

I work for Verizon, and even I will admit that phone was BOTCHED....It sold like 2 units...And people were mad that the successor (VX6800) when replaced through warrenty was replaced with the "Touch Pro'' Also considering the 6800 had WiFi and didnt require a data package and the Pro did.Even us Fanboys can agree with somethings, sometimes....

This is going to be a toss up for me with the Hero, which is rumored to come on Sprint as well... I've been with vzw for ages now, but unless they do something with the plan pricing and if they cripple the phones again I'm bound to bounce on over to Sprint.

i agree, i'm jumping to sprint, way more value for the money. if i get a everything plan, unlimited gps which is nice. besides the the phone wont be crippled on sprint. the orignal htc touch pro sucks on vzw compared to sprint, less ram, more buggy. i used one my freinds pros on sprint, its night and day! why i stayed with vzw i will never know.

I would do the same if it was only for Sprint not being CDMA, that kills it for me, I'm the type of person who could be on a call and surfing at the same time trying to find restaurants or movies while running around and I can't deal with the limitation of CDMA in that area, but almost worth jumping.

Whats so good about the Hero except for it wont be invading GSM? GSM FTW

Instead of crippled Phones you'll have Crippled service in Crippled areas from a more than Crippled company....Ill take my chances with Big Red here.

Papa is at it again, lying about Sprint service as a defense for his carrier leaking and crippling thier phones

11. PapaJay224 posted on 01 Aug 2009, 17:39

Its true, there was an article just out that even AFTER the launch of the PRE, Sprint still lost 900,000 customers...Can you hear me now 900,000

12. vasser7 posted on 02 Aug 2009, 11:01

TBH the Pre was released too late to really effect the quarters that were reported. Plus Palm's advertising is kind of botched too. Theres no way the chick will ever convince me to get near a Pre lol.

Papa, crippled service was not in the report and that is a baseless claim, Verizon having crippled and locked phones is true. I see humor in how vzw subs and employees defuse to acknowledge Sprint's service is just as good, better in some places, with far less restrictive policies, more expensive inclusive plans that can't be used with any smartphone which leads to charging for everything
