Verizon and LG launch the VX-5300

The LG VX-5300, shown at the CTIA 2006, is now available with Verizon and the number two US carrier is the first to introduce the phone to the US market. The clamshell device, successor of the VX-5200 phone, adds Bluetooth functionality, better 262k color TFT display and sleeker design than its predecessor. Other features of the phone include:

  • VGA camera with self-portrait capability.
  • Instant messenger.
  • CDMA2000 1xRTT support.
  • USB.

The LG VX-5300 is currently available on the Verizon web site for $49.99 with a two-year contract.
