Verizon HTC One delayed until August 15th?

0. phoneArena 31 Jul 2013, 16:56 posted on

The last time we saw a leak of the Verizon Wireless roadmap, it had the HTC One launching on August 1st and replacing the HTC DROID DNA. It looks like there has been some sort of delay though, because a new leak is putting the release for the Verizon HTC One at August 15th...

why do people even choose to buy phones from verizon? they have most bootloaders and lockdown on phones, least updates, biggest delays in launching. Just buy international models that work on its network such as from japan.

Because international unlocked models are way more expensive than just buying on contract.

So true, I am a huge HTC fan but I got tired of waiting for this. My DNA running sense 5 is close enough and I don't have to continue to wait.

If you have DNA there is no need for u to upgrade, unless you have money to Waste.

I got my DNA because I was tired of waiting for the One. I traded a 4S for the DNA. I was going to get the One but with the Moto X having my interest and rumors of a One Max in the distant future I also agree with you, I have no need to upgrade. So thank you for rewording my post in your reply to mine.

the One is starting to show a little too much age for a big launch or any real enthusiastic interest.
i'm definitely on the Moto bandwagon now.

People are still buying the s4 and even the Note II, why can't they get an htc one?

I can't believe Verizon doesn't even offer an HTC Android phone other than the Incredible at the moment and for 2 more weeks! No wonder HTC is struggling the largest carrier doesn't have any of their phones to sell. Oh...I guess they technically HAVE them...it just doesn't work for their marketing plan to sell any ATM.

I put off registering far too long... I couldn't sit by any longer. First of all the Note 3.. Really? Totally different fan base there bruh it's a huge phablet, not a smart phone. Samsung has a long way to go before they create anything cool... The Note 2 was at least plausible because it wasn't 6 inches. Don't even get me started on the useless stylus. I'm not a fanboy by any means I appreciate all good phones even the S4 despite the lazy design and touch wiz. I like touch wiz but its not better than sense 5. No one has any problems with sense 5 it runs smoother and looks better in my opinion.

Lets not kid ourselves though the only reason any phone made by Samsung having a chance, is due to Verizon being retarded and thinking these me droids would ever measure up to the HTC One. Yeah HTC got screwed big time.... Will that stop me from buying still one of the best smart phones to date? Hell no.... Verizon has no good phones so the HTC One is a blessing from god himself. ALSO I really hope rumors are true about the LG G2 coming to Verizon September because I would gladly ignore the One for that beast of a phone. Not only are the specs top notch but the design!!! Almost as stunning as an HTC One an I don't even mind the fact that they copied touch wiz a bit. Put your fanboyism aside and recognize HTC One won't suffer on Verizon and won't be ignored. I've been off contract since April and I damn sure wasn't going to buy an S4 knowing what was in store for this year.

Might be hard to ignore the HTC One with 4.2.2 for an entire month! But damn that LG G2 is hot

I had high hopes for the S4 until I had it and realized it was the laggiest Galaxy phone I'd ever had. 2GB of ram mostly eaten away by "S" crap. I loved the Note 2, no complaints there, but I'm leary about the Note 3 I'm concerned that Samsung hasn't learned that the plethora of "S" features aren't what everyone wants.

I read an article that the delay is due to it getting JB 4.3. That ATT, Sprint, and T-Mobile are skipping the 4.2.2 update and going to
4.3. That the companies have been testing 4.3 for a bit .

It makes sense and lets be honest that's the only reason the HTC One was delayed on verizon. They were trying to make 4.2 shake hands, i have no problem waiting for 4.3. All it is, is optimization
