this info is unofficial so dont flame me. I work at an auth retailer and I contacted my master dealer to purchase more storms today and they told me they dont want me to buy anymore because the storm2 is coming out tomorrow.

I won't flame you but I can guarantee you that the Storm2 won't be released tomorrow or before the end of October.

I don't know about launching tomorrow, but there certainly is a lot of evidence that it will in fact launch on the 21st. Verizon AND Best Buy inventory sheets? I think your guarantee is quite worthless Sir!

I would like to ask HOW you can guarantee the release date. Are you the CEO of RIM? Verizon? Lowell? Is that you? Please provide us with the proof behind your "guarantee". IF YOU CAN... Sniff, sniff... I smell a troll in the area.

i dont think they would launch another storm in secret. i would expect another build up campaign like they had with the first one which helped make it so hot. look, they had to find a way to mention the gayphone again, in like 80% of articles that have NOTHING to do with the gayphone, they mention it anyways. oh look the iphone has XXXX apps and the storm has XXX. your comparing a 3rd generation MEDIA phone that has built its life around the appstore (and 1/3 of them are fart apps anyways) to a what is STILL CURRENTLY a FIRST GENERATION BUSINESS PHONE that has had an app store for less than a year. ooh... apples and oranges jacko. how about lets look at 3 years worth of android apps compared to 3 yrs worth of apple apps. android will kill the iphone when it gets that mature. heck, it kills it now in over all quality n use.

LOL... it is sooo funny... There is no middle ground for the iPhone... Either you hate it like remix and I do... or you love it. Personally I don't see the hype of the iphone... it is bland, it took the 3rd generation to add "video" and MMS! ***SHOCKS and GASPS*** /// Something taht phones have been able to do since 2003. Really Apple... I am tired of companies slow releasing updates on phones to get you to buy the "next best thing". Apple has been doing this ever since the Launch of the iPod. BTW apple lovers everywhere... Steve Jobs is not the reason the iPod is around, you can thanks Palm's new CEO now. but a new ipod comes out every 4 months with new improvements and apple does a good job of making your old model seem massively inferior and using psychometrics to make you buy the new one... So you are all sheep in apples eyes, and they could care less about your experience and more about you buying the newest thing. Atleast with my custom built windows computer, I can add the hardware I need to make it work with the new OS rather than buy a whole new unit.

Sir, I salute you and couldn't agree more...I'm personally curious how many 'new' Iphone owners there are each time, and how many are people re-buying their phone every year. Down with proprietary lock downs!
