Verizon BlackBerry owners will soon have acces to Backup Assistant

If you're a hardcore BlackBerry user, you're probably well versed in the many ways of backing up your phonebook on your handset. Whether it be using the BlackBerry Desktop Software for a direct PC sync or using something that's cloud based like Google Sync, you've pretty much nailed it to a tooth in protecting yourself from a catastrophic event happening on your smartphone. Well for the many Verizon customers out there that might find those methods a bit tedious, now you'll have the option of using Verizon's Backup Assistant to get your syncing needs completed. For the longest of times, the service was offered for only their feature phones – smartphones did not get in on the deal, but now BlackBerry handsets will soon get the green light. Big Red will be launching the service starting on March 9th which will make it easy for just about anyone by downloading the app, signing in with your PIN, and finally getting your contacts backed up. This will probably aid those customers the most who are upgrading from some other phone to a BlackBerry device – it's just one step that'll take the load off your back from having to manually input all those phone numbers into your handset.
