Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile shook hands to confirm its mobile payments venture Isis, which is set to replace our wallets in the near future. The carriers teamed up to form a huge alliance and Google, Apple and Nokia will take part also…

So will the carriers be "asking" manufacturers to include these chips in their versions of the handsets? Manufacturers might not want to or choose to skip because financial reasons if it's left up to them. Also credit card companies will probably lean hard on manufacturers to not include them so unless they are pressed by carriers to include them on certain phones this may bit pan out as well. But I'm sure they have a plan in place already.
