In early 2011 the popular VLC media player could be making it to the Android Market as a dedicated app. Developers cite Android's fragmentation for the delay, but most of the libraries have already been ported over to Android...

Again with the fragmentation. I guess Ford should only produce one size pick-up truck, and put it only one trim... a one size fits all model.
Consumer trends seem to be just fine and dandy with handsets of different capabilities. Or is the Android OS not a serious competitor in the mobile arena?

I have a cheaper, lower end Android, the Droid Eris. Guess what I don't expect to be capable of running the VLC player...
Dumbass, "you-told-me-it's-the-best/worst-so-it-has-to-be" consumers benefit only the businesses.
