VIZIO Tablet listed on Amazon for pre-order with $350 price tag

However, as it happens to be the case with more than a few gadgets, Amazon can give you a better deal. The online retailer is currently offering pre-orders of the VIZIO Tablet for $350, and even though there is no exact shipping date stated yet, we doubt that the units will leave Amazon’s warehouse any later than the tablet’s official release date – July 18.
Here is what you get for your $350 – an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels, 1GHz single-core processor, a customized Android 2.3 Gingerbread version, Wi-Fi, GPS, HDMI output, front-facing camera, and 4 gigs of internal storage, of which only 2 are actually available. It is obvious that the VIZIO Tablet’s hardware specification does not push any boundaries, but that is pretty much acceptable considering the device's relatively low price point. However, there is one trick up the tablet’s sleeve that will differentiate it from the pack – it has an infrared transmitter built-in and it comes with a matching app that turns the device into a universal remote control.
So, if you want to be able to turn off that annoying TV with your slate the next time you go to Starbucks, feel free to check out the VIZIO Tablet. A link to Amazon’s page has been provided for you below.

" android_hitman" and "gallitoking" are CRAZY.
Sure, the Vizio tablet is excellent value for money, but it is certainly NOT better than the Ipad 2, or the Motorola Xoom.

I can already envision the phone arena review, somehow pricing still will be a con cause it's within a 150 bucks of the iPad.

Or the review might be bad because it's a tablet running GB instead of HC. Wouldn't pay $250 for this thing.

It's a good tablet for it's price, but no comparison to the iPad.
