I like the fact that it's designed for smartphones but I don't think VModa can built a decent portable amp. I don't think this will sell well either. Their products can be compared to Bose ones(I wouldn't go as far to compare VModa to Beats/Soul/Skullcandy and other commercial craps like these though), which are designed for the "mainstream" market. I can hardly imagine non-audiophiles putting $600 in a product like this. And audiophiles, well, will buy better yet cheaper portable DAC/AMP like the JdsL C421, O2, Fiio E12, Audinst Amp-hp etc..

Yeah, Vmoda never got much love for it's amps from us Head-fiers. And OZ you forgot the BEST starter amp - the Electric Avenues PA2V2. I'm a fan of the Leckerton UHA-4 myself
