User Agent Profile reveals new information about Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S III
0. phoneArena posted on 08 May 2012, 19:56
PocketNow was able to obtain the user agent profile for a Samsung device with the model number SPH-L710 indicating it is heading to Sprint; the specs resemble those on the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S III with one major difference under the hood where the Qualcomm MSM8960 will apparently reside...

Please do us a favor: Work on your English, grammar, and punctuation. Then maybe we can figure out what the heck you're actually trying to say.
Oh, and P.S. That's your fault for buying an iPhone.

This is sad news for Sprint customers. In the past, Sprint has always gotten the most feature-rich version of the Galaxy S in the Epic 4G with it's keyboard, and the Epic Touch 4G with its larger screen. It looks like Sprint is getting the lowest-end model this time, with its S4 and relatively paltry 16GB of memory.

The S4 is actually not a low end processor. Did pretty good on Performance + Battery life test.

ummm.. im pretty sure all u.s carriers will have the s4. so its sad news for verizon as well as at&t. and i am sure the 32gb and 64 will be available. correct me if i am wrong.

Looks like I'll be staying with my Epic 4G Touch for a longer time.
18. Phonecall01 posted on 08 May 2012, 23:55 2
The S4 actually "killed" the Epic 4G Touch in performance test.
20. Commentator posted on 09 May 2012, 01:05 3
Yeah, but if he has an Epic 4G Touch, it probably means that he just renewed his contract at most 8 months ago, and thus would be spending upwards of $500 for the SIII.
I think what he's saying is that he could justify spending that amount for a quad-core Exynos-powered phone, but wouldn't for an S4-powered one. Obviously the S4 is better than the old Exynos.

True... If I had the Epic touch... I'd prod hold on to it too; however, you can easily get around 300 bucks for an Epic Touch these days.!! and cash out on the new stuff !!

im hoping the screen wont get any bigger. i wouldn't mind the same phone for all four cariers. that means a ton of roms, kernals, and goodness. im so glad of the download mode. this will be my next phone.

Highly upset!!!! I know that I have read several articles right here on PA that stated that the 4412 Exynos was in fact LTE compatible! My stomach is doing back flips right now at the thought of a galaxy phone powered by a crapdragon!
8. KParks23 posted on 08 May 2012, 21:05 1
Where the hell u read that deff not here its been known any phone with LTE will have the s4 and that's plenty of power for a phone!!
22. TylerGrunter posted on 09 May 2012, 03:35 0
He read it here
But obviously is not coming to be true.
9. RORYREVOLUTION posted on 08 May 2012, 21:13 2
I doubt they will make the screen size any bigger than 4.8. They want to keep the gap for the note and note 2.

I hope it will come to T-Mobile at the same time next month.
11. GeekMovement posted on 08 May 2012, 21:47 0
I would wait for the Note 2, if only it came to Sprint, but judging by the fact that it (galaxy note) so far has only came to AT&T and maybe T-mobile, idk. I think I'll just get the Galaxy III. Still super excited about it. Hope they really do release it next month so that I can get it as my college graduation present!

I'm on AT&T and if by my birthday the Atrix 3 isn't announced and or doesn't blow my socks off.. then I'm ordering the int. Version I love my Atrix but this phone might be to good to pass up.

There are a new breed of sheep, much worst then the iSheep. They are called the..................QuadCoreSheep. They don't not realize that more cores doesn't automatically = better.

Tegra 3 may be surpassed by dual core S4, but nit Exynos 4 Quad. Only 2 benchmarks that you can see S4 is noticeable better than Exynos are Vellamo (a tool's made by Qualcomm) and Linpack (40 years old tool - easy to modify the result).
If you don't belive me, check it again: crapdragon S3 still has high score in these two benchmark tools, and in fact Exynos Quad has only slighly higher score than 1.4 ghz Exynos 4210 in Linpack multithread although it has 2 cores more.
14. Berzerk000 posted on 08 May 2012, 22:12 3
I don't see what the disappointment is. If they put a 720p screen and HTC sense on the rezound with the S3 and found it acceptable, I'm sure the S4 will be good enough for the GS3.

Damn man this sucks.....but yes i did read on here before the phone came out that samsung may have found a solution to that Exynos/LTE ordeal, but meh. now im thinkin if i should get the GSIII or not :( What do u guys think thumps up for yes thumbs down for no
21. apocalypsebc posted on 09 May 2012, 03:01 0
Samsung will more than likely have quadcore in the American version of the Galaxy Note 2 when it is released.

Spec-wise, excluding the CPU and the Screen display (not being Super AMOLED HD Plus with RGB Matrix), the availability of three different internal memory w/a microSD Slot is just keeping me interested in this smartphone. The only other major let down is the physical design, I mean come on, the back of the phone looks like an ugly, old cheap phone... Samsung definitely could've designed something a lot better w/the back then what it is, otherwise I praise and commend their efforts in making this smartphone quite slim, and intriguing in looks from the front and sides. Samsung, you just needed to work a little more to push this phone as the best, most wanted smartphone of 2012 and possible for the first couple months of 2013... Wanted that Quad-core with LTE that outperforms the S4 Snapdragon in both performance and battery use, with the screen and back design... If not this phone, then either the One X (wh/is also not as satisfying) or the Sony Xperia GX (if there's a international release)/ION (whatever beast Sony phone gets released in the states.

well, sprint was just talking about selling LTE phones without an LTE network, so it wouldnt suprise me if this was LTE.
2 carriers down. We know ATT will also want the LTE, so that means our last bastian of hope for american exynos rests with Tmobile.
COME ON TMO DONT GIVE US ANOTHER CRAPDRAGON!! WE WANT EXYNOS!
