0. phoneArena posted on 24 Dec 2012, 17:39

It's been a Jelly Bean fest for owners of certain Android handsets, certain to make their holiday a little brighter with Project Butter and Google Now; the devices getting updated to Android 4.1 are the original Motorola DROID RAZR, Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX and the European HTC One S all of which are getting updated while Santa gets ready for his annual flight...

UPDATE DROID INCREDIBLE 4g LTE!

2. smartphonemad posted on 24 Dec 2012, 18:53

Got the update on my one s and tbh I'm not impressed. Sense animations seem to be operating at a LOWER frame rate than before :(

3. XPERIA-KNIGHT posted on 24 Dec 2012, 19:02 1

theres no way......jelly bean runs at a constant 60 fps! .... Are you sure you're not downloading TOO much stuff??

7. AliNSiddiqui posted on 24 Dec 2012, 21:01 1

That's not true lol My note II stutters many times when scrolling
.. Android will never be 60FPS smooth.. Nexus 4 comes the closest though

9. XPERIA-KNIGHT posted on 24 Dec 2012, 21:37 2

im sorry man but i got a droid inc 4g lte and its running 4.0.3(ics)! and stutters are LITTLE TO NONE! and that is "with" alot of apps downloaded, emulators, live wallpapers............o and remember my processor is under clocked at 1.2 ghz (s4) but still i find myself with very minimal lag.............my only question for you guys is...........what are you downloading to cause enough lag to "report" to phonearena?

18. iDroidWin posted on 25 Dec 2012, 02:07 1

I too have note 2. Doesn't stutter. I keep a check on processes though. I agree with XPERIA-Knight. I runs at constant 60 fps. Not in hardcore gaming though.

You should see 3D UI tutorial by coldfustion on youtube. He showed his ram too while he was making that video. May be you are doing something wrong.

Just got the update on my HTC One S and all I can say is: AWESOME.

Project Butter really creates a miracle, at least in my opinion. Way faster, new settings...

I, personally, don't like those Blue accents on the theme, but who cares? It just got faster!!!

PS: HTC could have done a smaller update - more than 600MB is a lot.

15. Mittal posted on 24 Dec 2012, 23:32

Hey ppl tell me one thing... If the update weighs over 600MB, will the internal memory for OS and apps be depleted by that exact amount ?
If yes, then thats a huge loss..!

And the ONE X on AT&T won't get 4.1 nor the iON how disappointing

I recieved an OTA notification for my Verizon Droid RAZR but the update failed to download. I wish I had taken a screen shot. I remember it saying it was roughly 381 MB.

I had the same problem with my RAZR! :(

26. allan85 posted on 28 Dec 2012, 03:24

I had the same problem, but I google it and I've found various websites offering a manual solution. Keep trying:D

12. booboo posted on 24 Dec 2012, 22:42

I called Verizon a few hours ago as it happened to me....i said "mistake?" They said "yes". Whenever Google pushes it was the final response.

23. LordZoid posted on 25 Dec 2012, 18:46 1

Well, Well, I just got a update on my Verizon Galaxy S3. They pushed it to me on Dec.22. It's now version 4.1.1. Is this a current update are are they just getting around to me now? Aside form a few different configs. Not much different. I have notice that all of a sudden my battery is lasting longer. I used to have to charge it every day. Now it seems to be every other day.

24. Marksplace2 posted on 26 Dec 2012, 06:02

The upgrade on the razr was stopped. It never downloaded.

25. kirkm posted on 26 Dec 2012, 09:12 1

The update was pulled, but a search online with "razr jellybean update" should help others find the update - someone uploaded it before it was pulled, and its EASY to side load. I found a link in the xda forum - with easy to follow directions. Took about 30 min from start to finish, and now I have 4.1.2 Not sure if it will cause a problem IF verizon ever puts out a update....but ICS was killing me, and making me hate ANDROID. Jelly bean seems much smoother.
Google now is just OK. Not really sure if I will use it much, but the rest looks alot cleaner, and smoother. Ill comment later about the battery.
