Update for the HTC Hero in less than 10 days?
We were quite impressed by the HTC Hero during our tests of the device, although as we said, we were pretty disappointed of its sluggish overall speed. That´s why we are really happy to find out an update for the Android-based handset may be just around the corner. The information is provided by Vonn, an Android Community forum user. He claims to have received an email from the manufacturer´s customer support, saying that an update to fix the issue to an extent is about to become available in less than 10 days, with the multi-language version of the update rolling out as soon as the mid September. We still don´t have a list of all bug fixes to be included into the pack, but the manufacturer claims the device will feel much better to operate. We hope this happens indeed and the HTC Hero gets optimized in a such a way that will allow it to run even faster than the iPhone 3GS. The latter is as much a plain joke as one of our cherished dreams.
