With criticism growing about certain problems with the $199.99 Amazon Kindle Fire, Amazon has gone on record promising an update that will take care of the bugs within the next two weeks; some of the problems include poor performance and lagging responsiveness on the multi-touch screen...

Yeah i have one..... but it looks like.everything is locked until you sign up to become an .amazon prime member which cost 80 bucks a year. The screen size is too small to watch netflix

You do not have to purchase Amazon Prime. What is wrong with you people, can't you read?? They give you a free 30 day trial, when thats up, you can either cancel or enroll. It's that simple. Before you post comments, you need to do research, so you don't look so stupid...

I am enjoying my Kindle Fire. I bought it to surf Google Reader while I watch TV. For that it works fine.

we wanted a cheaper tablet and AMAZON DELIVERED. for 199.00 this is a awesome buy. i use mine to play my music in the car and other things when i cant get to my laptop or expensive tablet. very pleased so far.

i own both ipad2 and kindle fire, guess what i use my kindle fire about 90 percent of the time, the volume buttom complaint is stupid since you can just click on settings and lower the volume, the idiot who said you have to join amazon prime, didnt know what he was talking about. for 199 this was a great deal
