Update: AT&T's Moto Maker exclusive will only be 3 days, then Verizon gets in

Last week, we heard some of the plans for the new Moto X (aka X+1) launch, and some of the leaked info was a bit disheartening. According to last week's info, AT&T was scheduled to have about 3 weeks to one month of exclusivity with Moto Maker, but most of that time was supposed to be pre-orders before the device hit store shelves...

How is 3 days of exclusivity helping anyone?...

Maybe for people on the fence who have similar coverage between the two carriers.

Like I said, we hear a rumor that all is gloom and doom, and when it comes to light that it isn't true, it's still Motorola's fault. Noboby said how long AT&T's exclusivity period would be. Officially we still don't KNOW for certain. But leave it to you to assume it's Motorola's fault. Why no comment about the fact that apparently Apple doesn't see the benefit to adding the completely reversible cable with the iPhone 6? Oh I forgot, Apple can do no wrong right? Hypocrite.

So what does this conversation have to do with Apple? Doesn't change the fact that Motorola had made some questionable decisions with the oddly named X+1.

And what decisions have they made? All this is supposition, yet your talking them as facts.
As far as Apple, that's who you seem to believe can do no wrong. I was pointing out the hypocrisy of your love Apple/hate Motorola way of thinking. See if you can follow me here as I explain it to you as I would a child.
Rumors come out about exclusivity and then are basically debunked by another set of rumors, yet somehow you come to the conclusion that they're utter screwups. Still with me so far?
Then rumors also come out that Apple is working on a completely (both ends) reversible charging/data cable for the iPhone 6, but that Apple won't include them because cost wise it's not worth it, even though they have one of the highest profit margins on devices, and they plan to sell it separately. Now if I were an Apple customer, I'd be po'd that the richest company in the world can still find ways to nickel and dime me.
Now I'm sure you're probably still asking what that has to do with Apple, since the article is about Motorola. Well it mainly has to do with your response to each situation. Any chance you get you villify Motorola but if apple does something as bad or worse, you ignore it. That's pretty much the textbook definition of a hypocrite. I could actually try and take you seriously if you ever either gave Motorola credit where it's due, or called out Apple when they screw up. But if the past has shown me anything, that'll never happen.

I really hope they make an unlocked version with Moto Maker...

I'm a sucker for bamboo backs, there is one coming out for my opo too. The bigger issue is price which from what has been said is slightly more expensive than it should be. I guess we will see once it's released though.

Motorola should try their best to have this phone and the Moto G in stores. You can't expect people to know enough to order the phone online. T mobile is the fastest growing carrier yet there has been no Motorola presence in their retail stores since the Motorola Defy was released years ago. Odly enough they have the Nexus 5 in store .... Everyone in my neighborhood is walking around with Tmobile Alcatel phones... or Samsungs.
