Instead of titling the article itself "release dates"... how about "release quarters" so a reader like myself wont coming here expecting to find and actual date

thanks for summarizing all the info that's already out there. what's the point of writing this article when there's nothing new?

Holding out for the Bionic, now that the actual production version of the Thunderbolt has turned out to be somewhat less than revolutionary. Sure would have been nice if the release DATES were actually provided, instead of the lame timeframes that are stated in this article. Pretty much just a rehashing of info that's been out there for months.

The LG Revolution is not the first 4G to offer voice over LTE. The newly released HTC Thunderbolt has this capability. (At least mine does) with a 4G signal.

nope, totally wrong there buddy. as i work for verizon let me explain it to you simply. The thunderbolt uses 4G LTE for the data transfer from the towers to your phone via fiber optics connected to the towers. Your phone still places calls using the 3G Antennae that is also built into your phone. 4G LTE calls are very very very clear in their reception and clarity. The LG Revolution is indeed the first VoLTE handset coming to our lineup.

coming from an even more informed vzw employee, voice calls made on current vzw handsets are actually placed over the 1xRTT cdma network that has been around since before verizon was verizon, not over evdo 3G. Maybe by "3g antenna" he meant just "antenna" because the antenna itself handles both 3G and 1x duties, with different chips inside handling the separate functions. He is correct in saying that the Revolutions will be the first vzw VoLTE handset.

I have the eris and am waiting for a good phone that will fit in my pocket. Why do they all have 4.3" screens? Am I alone in wanting a phone as good as my wife's droid 2 global that is smaller than a brick?

yeah, Verizon should fire the idiot who's deciding what phones should and shouldn't go in the lineup. prior to the DROID releases, Verizon (in my mind) was always the worst carrier in terms of phone selection. it doesn't surprise me their current lineup is starting to lag behind again in comparison to the other carriers.

there is the indredible 2/s that shud come out soon... it is 4". also there is the samsung fascinate... it has the 4" display. Or you could get one of those pre 3s which will be coming out soon. Oh and i forgot, i think the only other one is the xperia play... but that didnt get the best reviews

you're not alone :) i have small hands and the eris is awesome size for me! i'm a small person and my boyfriend's Droid X would never fit in my pockets... small pants.... give me 1.2GHz processor 8GB internal memory, 32GB SD card and 3.4=3.7" screen... honestly the display i'm not picky about...

yeah, I totally agree. It seems like all of the LTE equipped phones will have 4.3 inch screens. I really hope that this is just a coincidence and not a requirement. Guess I will wait until next year for something smaller with LTE. Maybe the iPhone 6 will have LTE by then. I really doubt the iPhone 5 will be LTE equipped especially since at&t doesn't have their network up and running yet and I'm sure the t-mobile deal will probably delay the nationwide rollout a bit. In any case, I hope there will be smaller lte android phones available by next year with better battery life. Also, I'm a female, and these gigantic phones are not appealing to me and just seem way to masculine.

Hmm...better than the Eris...how about the Samsung Gem? lol I had the Droid 1, Droid X, and now have the Thunderbolt. With cases, the Droid 1 was the worst to pull out of my pocket. These new phones may be bigger overall, but the Droid 1 was only about an inch smaller and it was so much thicker (yeah I just set myself up for a "that's what she said" right there). I actually went with the Droid 1 instead of waiting for the X because I thought the size would be too big. IDK if the Incredible 2 will have LTE capabilities or a front facing camera, but if those 2 things don't appeal to you anyways then just get the Incredible 1.

that was real misleading. release time frames would have been better. when you say dates, that means specific month, day, and year.

the Motorola Bionic is the only one with Consumer wanted Features(Most wanted:Dual core) but it has Motoblur -__-, and the LG revo. And Samsung stealth look like same ol' 1Ghz phones. Verizon! wtf! are you doing? you had android on the palm of ur hand and ur loosing it to AT&T.

Hey Dumbass, Who Purchases and Orders the phone? The Verizon Network Dipshit! The Manufacture only Makes the Phone, its up To the Network to choose which one they want.

Uggh......So disappointed with this line-up....where are the new Qwerty keyboard phones for the millions of customers who bought the Original Droid who are waiting for an upgrade? Everyone of these phones look alike (same specs, style, etc.) Why no mention of the Droid 3 when it was all over the websites last week?
