Sony Ericsson has decided to shed some light on its near-term plans for the US smartphone market, as well as to reiterate its commitment to Android and to mention that some LTE devices are planned...

Sony Ericksson can be a viable player using Droid here in the U.S. The desire for Droid phones is in no way at it's peak, and you can not go wrong hitching a ride on the google bandwagon. The Xperia play is a great idea that will sell well to an untapped consumer in the mobile industry, the gamer. If done well, supported fully, and updated properly Sony Ericsson will have a hit on their hands and interest in their future devices.

As long as they make an Xperia Pro with AT&T 3G bands, unlocked, I'm game.

If it came to Sprint, had 4G, and dual core, then I might buy it over EVO 3D. But since it doesn't...sorry Sony, I'll stick to playing my PS3
