Untethered iPhone 4S, iPad 2 jailbreak coming in a week
Share:
Just last week, news spread about an untethered jaiblreak for all iOS 5.0.1 devices except for the hottest ones - the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2. The jailbreak, courtesy of hacker pod2g, is now set to arrive on Apple’s latest iPhone and tablet within a week.
Great news for those waiting to set their devices free, and certainly a good job by pod2g, who tweeted:
“I made a step today for the A5. With some luck we could expect a release in a week.”
The jailbreak should be good for all devices with Apple’s A5 chip, so that would mean that if a possible future device is to get the same chip, odds are it won’t be that hard to jailbreak it. We’ll let you know as soon as the jailbreak is released so stay tuned.

It failed and to fix it was complicated. Cydia is a breeze.
