Thanx Elgee... at least someone's smart enough to know. As for AT&T on campus, it's confirmed by an AT&T rep I know. They DO have a contract with Stanford. This doesn't mean other carriers DON'T work at all but not as good as AT&T. As a business move, this was really smart on AT&T's part.

Well you're att rep is wrong... obviously. If they had a contract no other carrier would work there and yet other carriers do work there. not to mention you really can't sign a contract to have control of what signals go through the air. if that was the case I am just going to sign a contract with verizon and have them the only carrier that will work at my house.

contracts are for carriers (at&t in this case) being the only carrier to have cell towers on campus.... douche... you can have towers off campus property...

thats cool..but itll probly lead to higher tuition to pay for more phones for more incoming freshmen....college is a buisness whether you like it or not and they do buisness practices to get more money out of people...this is one of them im sure...its nice to have but your still gonna cough up all the money for tuition, room and board, and if someone said before is correct that this is a private school....well there goes your nuts along with the arm and leg...

FREE? c'mon, its called Technology Fee. if you think you are getting it for free, you should get your letter of admittance taken away and apply to McDonalds.
