I wonder if this University has a similar deal like Stanford. Only AT&T work on their campus. Anything and everything else is DEAD! D-E-D DEAD!!

I never heard of this, but Stanford must be making big (B-I-G!) bucks to do this. It sounds way too restrictive tactually happen, but it wasn't my choice. This program with free iPhones is pretty unique and sounds good. Most schools should have this. Or at least a choice between other smartphones.

D-E-D ?? Is that supposed to be D-E-A-D?

Well that's good to know cuz I have a friend that works in the VZW store in P.A. and said VZW is dead on campus,.

If stanford was in P.A. that would be great, but it's in C.A.

I am currently a student at Stanford, and sprint is my carrier. I will admit that I don’t get full bars when on campus, but that is true for every carrier. My phone works just fine on campus and around the Palo Alto area, with the exception of 1 or two dropped calls. There isn’t s AT&T conspiracy in any sense of the word, or at least that I have experienced in the last 2 ½ years.

5. T-Money3000 posted on 15 Oct 2008, 09:46

Why anyone would go to ACU is beyond me. I did a cross country meet in HS at the ACU campus and visited a friend there a few times, that place is a dump. ACU is for people wanting to go into a private Christian college but couldn't get accepted into TCU or SMU. Or don't have the ***load of money the latter 2 schools charge for tuition. Anyways, I wonder how much this costs the school and if they get a huge kickback from AT&T and/or Apple.

I pulled up that address ( 1600 Campus Court Abilene, TX 79699 ) on Sprint.com coverage checkhttp://coverage.sprint.com/IMPACT.jsp and the service is BEST. I am willing to bet that whoever stated that there is only AT&T service probably works for AT&T and thinks that a statement like that will help their sales. Sorry son but lying helps no one.

I think that person was talking about Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA
