Unboxing of Sprint's Palm Pixi on Video
The Palm Pixi is a bit less impressive than the Palm Pre, as you can tell from this unboxing video of the newer handset by Wirefly. While the former device is powered by a later build of webOS than the Pre, the new model just doesn't come equipped with the same quality of features. For example, while the Pre offers a 3.2 MP Camera, the Pixi's snapper is 2MP with a slightly less powerful flash. With a slower processor than its predecessor, the Pixi will not be able to have as many "cards" open at the same time as the first webOS model, reducing the multitasking capabilities. The Pixi does not offer Wi-Fi like the Pre, and the display on the newer unit is smaller at 2.6 inches with 80 less pixels than the original webOS phone with its' 3.1 inch screen. Both models do sport a 3.5mm audiojack. Sprint is expected to launch the unit on November 15th for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in-rebate and a 2 year contract, as we have reported.

-Actually "YEAH" you must be the only one suprised that it's a step down from the Pre... That's the whole point of the PIXI...low end WebOS device.

Yeah some people just aren't the smartest and comment on things they have no clue about. I think trentsinmypants is the only one in the forums that doesnt know the Pixi isn't suppossed to be an upgrade. It's a lower end Palm device that still gives you the benefits of WebOS

haha! Let's all laugh at trentsinmypants because he doesn't know anything. I bet you all feel pretty good about yourselves for knowing that the Pixi is a step down from the Pre. I bet you sleep better too! ...wow

Ummmmmmm......lets think about this logically. Sprint(the company I work for), wanted a BASIC WebOS device to compensate for the Pre. Less features means less expensive for a younger crowd who doesnt need all the features of the Pre. Its like buying a car. Its not rocket science. Use your brains.

How about you use your brains and think logically. Your company has a whole in its side and is bleeding customers every quarter i think last quarter was 357,000 customers? HA HA

@vzwrep-dildo: Congrats for going on Google and finding out what the quarterly numbers were for Sprint. Awesome! If you want to go the "use your brains" way, then use your brain and learn how to spell in the correct context... "whole" is hole, Moron... You idiot kids... I love how you insult someone while you flaunt your flaws. You are a complete Idiot...
