They kind of have that already. The iP5S had a sign-up for deliveries scheme, where you put your name on a list of iNvitees at each of the Apple stores. When inventory of your desired iToy arrived, you were 'iNvited' to pick it up. No show within X hours of being 'iNvited', and someone else was 'iNvited' to pick up the iToy.

They won't rush suppliers needlessly.

They will make a havoc, saying: Ip6 is out of stock. Price will fire up, demand won't meet. Apples great deceptive ideas surely works out right, to fool the public, yet again.

If the yield rumors are true, you may have a long wait to get your next iToy. One rumor that is making the rounds is that deliveries of the iPhone 6XL (5.5 inch screen edition) are not going to start until 2015….

Sacrificing battery for less needed thinness. Bunch of idiots.

Thinner everything for less needed thin-ness. If Apple is not able to book the sales they could have without the yield problems, that will be a needless fail for Apple.

I think it would be pretty amazing to make it 0,6 mm thinner while increasing the battery capacity. Android flagships are still over 8 mm and they are not getting thinner. I think they made a right choice, as it is incredibly hard to make an ultra thin 7,6 mm flagship any thinner and they will shave off 0,6 mm or almost 8% ! Maybe they could even 0,7 to make it 6,9 mm but that would possibly make the battery same size as the iPhone 5S so they stopped at 7 mm, a huge technological achievement for a flagship phone nonetheless.

That's not true, Android phones are much thinner. For example:

Gionee Elife S5.5 – 5.5mm
Vivo X3 - 5.57mm
Huawei Ascend P6 – 6.18mm
ZTE Athena – 6.2 mm
Vivo X1 – 6.55mm
Oppo Finder – 6.65 mm
Huawei Ascend P1 – 6.68 mm
Vivo X3L – 6.75 mm
Motorola Droid Razr – 7.1 mm

Not that it matters though. Whether it's 5mm or 8mm, the thinness of a phone is not what makes it good.

I wish all manufacturers weren't rushing to make their phones so thin and I wish they'd all be cramming fat batteries in them. The Huawei Ascend Mate 2 is very tempting with its two day battery life...... I'm planning on buying one; I'm getting tired of my Note 3 dying at like 4pm each day.

Tim Cooks background is in supply chain isnt it? I have a hard time believing he would lead a ship down that path. Things will turn out fine...

Except Timmie is busy with Dre, playing with his iPad and picking new colors for the upcoming iBeats headphone models.
