Canonical is bringing Ubuntu to Android handsets, hoping to bring a more robust "full desktop experience" to challenge the likes of Motorola's Webtop environment for smartphone-based computing...

Awesome! This is so true! In every phone, there is a PC trying to get out. Did you hear that Apple? A PC. Not an iDevice with a stripped down operating system.

You are correct. But that was before WWDC 2011. I believed in Apple. But I was wrong.

ive been waiting for ubuntu to be on phones ! i loved ubunto in my pc and will be just as great on phones!!!
i can imagine ubuntu on SAmsung galaxy s3 ....... drrooooooll!!

Well I've seen this long coming and I think it's wonderful in so many ways.
Btw I have to.. ugh.. defend apple here.
They actually went far in the road of merging Mac and IOS.. if not iPad 3, iPad 4 will for sure offer full Mac capabilities.
And with the airplay, you can fully mirror IOS to Mac already.

To prepare myself for this, I am now considering to migrate from windows 7 to Ubuntu.
