Wonder why is saids November, I have infact confirmed it will be released on Oct 30. It was easy to find out, just change your system clock to Oct 30, and go to droiddoes.com and you will see that the counter no longer countsdown. then change it to Oct 29, and check, its still counting!! I CANT WAIT TILL OCT 30!! I Want My Droid!!!

iPhone is craptastic?? Go buy one, use it for, um, 29 days... then tell me what you think... (and please don't give me any "Network" bull shit since you were only referencing phones, and not carriers) So many people on here are so skewed! (Or at least their thought processes are) Honestly, there are some out their who claim the iPhone is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then there are others who claim it is the worst thing since liberalism. Stop with you one-way thinking!! Get a life and get outside sometime. There are better things to come than the iPhone, but it is not a craptastic phone. It is impressive, to say the least.

I dont think "droid" is a phone, Im sure its reffering to android and a phone but not the "name" of it (obviously). I love the way Verizon is sticking it out there about the network and the iPhone people are blinded by a shiny you tube machine and they are missing the purpose..Psychologically it makes sense to be agressive in a market that sells out to "missing the whole point" to a cell phone. Agree or disagree, your choice, but VZW Fanman's got it right people are coming back after the iphone...its only as popular as the Apple computers and statistics are showing those are the only ones keeping it.

I mean i am not an at&t subscriber or nothing but verzion treating them like little bitches and the just sit there and take it. Dude is simple AT&T doesnt respond cuz no matter how much the big red bash the Iphone and AT&T there's still people from other networks specially VZ switching........when somebody talk so much negativity about something makes it more famous rather destroying........both companies are getting the beneficts from a carrier that is crying like a little bitch in school backyard....!!!!!

Do you realize that the iPhone has barely changed at all since the first one. It has a crappy processor compared to phones now. The camera sucks. It doesn't have multi-tasking. It's stuck on a bad company. It's just an old phone. Now its not a bad phone for when it came out but it is nothing compared to the new phones coming out. Even if the iPhone came to Verizon I wouldn't get it because of that. The reason AT&T can't come back with anything is the fact that they literally can't. They have nothing they can say truthfully that would help their business besides that they have the iPhone. The iPhone literally took AT&T from going bankrupt. Verizon can say anything they want because almost every single service is better and there is proof. With that proof it is not illegal to make commercials saying that it is a better network. That is how it all works. There have also been reports of less people switching to AT&T and more leaving bhecause of the horrendous network.

Like it or not the Iphone is what it sells , AT&T can get any other good phones besides the iphone.......from my personal experience i tryed other good phones unlocked and nothing comes close, there are a lot of phones with more powerful procesor better camera but the iphone still beat them.......and BTW I don't know why you saying that AT&T was going bankrupt before the iphone, neither VZ, AT&T or T-mo are in financial troubles only sprint, the truth is VZW scares a lot of the Iphone the proof are those Funny comercials and let me tell ya man your fanboysm is taking you to unreal levels.....is incredible only one device got VZW crying and bitching, people continue to switch and that's a fact .......!!!!!

Do you remember Cingular...they were losing a lot of money and AT&T took them over got the iPhone and did better. How can I be a fanboy if I don't even have the phone. Yes, I am a fanboy of verizon but that is because they are the best service provider. No the iPhone has the same look. Hardware wise it is more powerful then the droid due to a much more powerful and robust GPU. VzW has the largest coverage but bigger doesn't mean best. You pay for the coverage you use not the coverage you don't need. In many states like Maryland At&t is the superior choice. Why if I live on the East Coast do i need to care that i get better coverage in Dakota.... Its not denial... VZW fanboys are just morons.... That Android with its beefy specs will have to run apps that the weaker android phones which means you will not be using that hardware. Already games are coming out that use the 3GS's GPU enhancements more and more. So i fail to see whats wrong with the 3GS since it has the features I want... I am sorry but your creaming your pants over a phone that will really brings nothing new to the table either... Widgets... Really... who cares about widgets... 5MP camera can be nice but if all they did was just pack a high megapixel camera and gave it ZERO features that makes the actual picture look good then its just marketing.

this commercial is all over tv today, so i figured i would call verizon to figure out how to be one of the first to get one of these. The rep asked me what the website was and where i could click to it off the verizon website. She then said she had no idea what i was talking about and that she might not even hear of the phone until it comes out. This is the sales department by the way. I thought the purpose of commercials was to increase demand for the product and stir interest. just verizon being verizon i guess

I think you just talked to an idiot, thats all. Internally, they've been hyping this thing for the last few weeks so don't know where that lady has been. Anyway, its still in phase 2 testing, so they're already on the floors at the various call centers so the tech support teams can play with them, learn about them, and do all that final testing reports. Phase 2 usually goes on for a few weeks and once it wraps up, they usually get released within 2 to 4 weeks. I got to play with both the Droid and Hero, and I personally didn't like the droid at all, but the Hero was impressive.
