im sure they will move units but wont do as well as the iphone nor will it be an iphone killer from what i have seen everytime any company goes against the iphone they just end up failing and create new customers for at&t.

I think the whole point of the ad was to introduce a brand new product to the masses who don't actively follow websites like this about phones and the wireless industry. However, I personally thought vzw should stay away from directly attacking Apple and the iphone directly and stick to going after AT&T's mediocre network. Anyway, the mass exodus of customers from vzw, sprint, and tmob to AT&T is essentially over and just about everyone who wants an iphone already has it, so I don't really know how effective vzw thinks this will be. Everyone has their personal niches, iphone customers will stick with Apple, WinMo customers to Microsoft, BB to RIM, and now android to Google. They'll probably take some market from all of the formers, but that is good for everyone because its more innovation and competition. Anyway, I have my HTC TP 2 and its the best phone big red has ever had, and I would put it up to the iphone anyday, but then again, thats just me.

Actually to be more clear. The "code" is set up in Days-Hours-Min-Sec. I have personally decoded it in a matter of a couple min and it's showing an official realease (Announce) time of midnight of October. "droid does...November" could possibly just be verizon's open day for purchase, Pointing at probably november 2nd due to the weekend. Expect a long line outside verizon for this puppy...

First problem: It's Motorola. Name one thing in any industry they have done right. AM Stereo? Razr? Bluetooth? You spend your money on them you deserve what you get. Second problem: Doesn't matter what a phone has, it matters whether or not it works. Third problem: See problem one.

You can trash the razr all you want, but it was the first cellphone to top 1 million sales. The device was everywhere. Motorola's biggest problem has been they tried too hard to recreate the razr style in all their future phones.
