You're right about the price. I hope it will have a virtual keyboard too, and all the specks I've read lead me to believe it will. It will be avaliable for purchase in stores and online on the 8th of Septemeber. Hope you like it :)

Does that mean you will to buy a data plan to go with Connect, just Connect or Premium? The poster on BGR said there will be two option for data at $10 and $20 for 25mb and 75mb respectively, no data charges for VCast. Sprint is looking better and better

Connect includes ulimited MB usage for an additional $10 over Select plans. Premium also includes unlimited MB usage for $20 over Select plans in addition to including VCAST and VZNav. If you aren't on a connect or premium plan then you will have to add the data for $15 through VCAST. I haven't heard of any MB caps for anything other than smart phone tethering options and aircards.

Dude you are deep in the "EVERYTHING" plan, That Plan is CRAP when I use 900 min with connect for 89.99 for unli txt, data, unli calls to 5 freinds and family (I total like 350 or so Peak min) why pay 10 more for sprint? For SPRINT? The eventually network....Ill see you at Verizon in the next 2 years...Garenteed. You obviously wish you could afford Verizon but your stuck with sprint so you are trying to convince everyone to be as regretful as you. Sprint is the Biggest Most "wannabe" network. Get a life man, even YOU cant sell that "EVERYTHING" (but service) Plan...Hey look is that a Stampede of 900,000 customer leaving Sprint? LOOK OUT!

I don't think this phone will be better then the enV touch tho. EnV touch has better camera and keyboard.

Why can't they make a decent phone that doesn't require data. I was going to get this when it comes out but not if it requires data.

it doesnt require "data" it requires mb useage of an unlim vcast vpak or prem connect plan...not the same

No way can that phone cost that much. If it retails for 419.99, and NE2 is 199.99,no one would drop 200 dollars for a "dumbphone"...especially the successor to (imo) the worse messaging phone I've seen.....

Just get a connect or premium plan and get unlimited data if you don't want to get any of the new data options. There's a couple ppl on BGR that seemed to have cleared things up about the plans.

Yeah, I thought the Connect plans were the Select plans, the good thing is you can use Connect and Premium plans. They aren't so bad until come into the equation. Everything plans beat those anyday

Papa, VCast or Premium plans are essentially data packs. I remember news of html phones needing data packs starting in September too, hope they let people keep thier Select plans w/VCast packs or it might get ugly
