Wtf. Are you kidding me? This isnt Aprint fools and it isnt funny! I waited 5 months for this? I passed up on a Pre at launch day to pay $249 for a dumbphone? Not only passing up on a Pre but the fact that this is $100 more expensive than a Pre right now? No wonder they didn't advertise this phone. They must be positioning this to make the Pre and Hero look like a good deal. Which makes no sense to actually compete with yourself while you're having to fend off $99 iphones... I've wanted this phone for a very long time but I dont know that I can justify that type of pricing. The last thing that pisses me off is that due to an error at the warehouse processing a return of my previous(defective) handset I lost my eligibility in the system. So I have to buy thru telesales so they can do a manual override. Which means I also have to wait till Oct 11 to get this...if I really want it...F you Sprint. I'm a loyal 8 year long "premier" customer who is seriously tired of getting crapped on. Seems like no matter how patiently I try to be I get accidentally or in some instances($250 intentionally) crapped on by you guys. Oh well, I might still buy this phone, I dont know if I can swallow my pride enough to do it. That or I might just buy a Pre, or take the $200 hit and buy a *F*ing iphone for NINTEY NINE DOLLARS.

wow dude did you have some high excpectations....also just because youve been with them for 8years mkeans you should get the phone cheaper? just because i buy a new car at the same dealer every 10 to 15 years means they owe me a huge discount? damm anti capitalistic cheap A** cust. Sprint doesnt deserve you anyway, by the way as good as the pre is it does not have hd which does cost more....be real dude and if calling telesales is so bad(which it is) then you should have waited...

UM yeah not to mention how much you will have to pay ATT for their plan plus the ALIST (WHOA) $69.99= Unlim Data, text, Email, Navigation, TV, Any Mobile Anytime, Sprint doesnt make phones they sell service, you can complain about price and drink your 4 monsters or red bulls a day at 3.00 a pop which would equate to roughly ohh....... 360 dollars a month of fucking carbonated sugar. The American consumer is so mislead and out of line.

Wow...I guess my rant wasnt clear as to what I was saying. The two points I was saying were these; #1 DAMN $250 is expensive for EVERYONE who's going to be buying this phone in comparison to some smartphones #2 I have to wait longer than other people who are going to be able to buy it thru Best Buy by 2 weeks because of a Sprint Employees error. Sprint doesn't deserve me....I give them money, I buy their service, and customer service. I don't OWE them anything they are providing me with a service that I am reimbursing them with in cash. CAPITALISM! I deserve some satisfaction, I would even have been ok with $199 for the phone, I paid $179 for my G1 and would have been fine coughing up $199. But yes, I do think that long term customers deserve better treatment, I've given them more money over the life of my relationship with them than a new customer. I deserve better treatment than someone who carrier hops trying to take advantage of sales. Thats capitalism my friend, if I will get better pricing on new handsets at a different carrier they earn my business. CAPITALISM! In this situation they need to earn my continued loyalty by showing some thanks for my money. "just because i buy a new car at the same dealer every 10 to 15 years means they owe me a huge discount?" You must not buy cars, dealers have "Customer Loyalty Discounts" you get money off the price of the car for buying your new car through them sometimes upwards of $2000. Also I'm not really complaining about wanting special discounts cus I will already get that with being Premier I'll get a new handset in 12 months at full subsidy discount. I'm saying the price on the handset overall for EVERYONE should be cheaper. If I can subscribe to the SAME PLAN with a Pre($149), Tour($199), or Hero($179) as I can with the Instinct HD($250) what is the point in having a dumbphone when three smartphones are cheaper out the door and cost the same monthly? CAPITALISM! Grow up, be a smarter consumer. Don't just accept poor treatment, take your money where it best benefits you! CAPITALISM at its finest! Noob troll.

smart consumer?? cust loyalty discounts not off msrp but dealer markup..and when talking about a car 1000 off is nothing just like you said 199 would be nothing. and if you are that dissatisfied go ahead and go to another carrier see if you can pay less per month. its all subsidies in the end company makes money providing you service(CAPITALISM) and as a smart consumer would you pay more for a phone and pay less per month for 2yrs which in most cases total cost of ownership is less. also when you pay more per month i.e. verizon, att, the company makes more money because so then they can subsidze phones and make it cheaper, in this us market the buisness model is set up that way..pay more for the phone pay less per month...pay more per month pay less for phone. simple mathematics. i personally think we shoul all pay full price for phones do away with contracts and then we pay for service and shouldnt feel entitled to anything. you pay your electric bill per month do they ever cut you a break for living there for 30 years? again like i said get the phone or dont but dont sound like a cheap a**. and lastley if you think sprints service is sooo bad why the hell havent you left them 8 yrs is alot of time to put up with bad service.

Doakie, people like you need to microwave your junk so that you aren't able to reproduce. you thijnk you could just cough up $250 and buy the damm "dumb phone" already. personally i think dumb phones are GREAT. i'm sick and tired of this smart phone trend. get back to a non smart device that does a ton of cool stuff on. HD quality video capture in my phone? i'll pay an extra $100 for that. your poor ass obviously cant so don't worry about it. btw, way to go get a phone you didn't do enough homework on just to return in and jack up your eligibility. dork.

I WOULD like to cough up $250 and buy the "dumb phone" already. I also think dumb phones are great, I have a G1(work phone) also which fills my smart phone niche and I don't need a 2nd one(personal phone). I am not poor, I have $300 sitting right here waiting to buy the the Instinct HD. I just would like it cheaper being I can get a lot of phones with sprint cheaper. I dont think thats too much to ask. Also "didn't do enough homework on just to return in and jack up your eligibility" I tried an Instinct S30 on launch day of April 25 or whatever. My bad, I should have done my homework and predicted poor call reception...my bad I left my perfectly good time travel device in the closet gathering dust. I could have been a smart consumer and went to the future to see if anyone had any problems. Stupid me!

If sprint is going to charge that much for the device, the SDK better be open for developers to develop anything for this device. The previous instincts had the GPS locked down, no flash support, or hope for flash support. Hopefully, with the Sprint Titan environment, the phone can have a Google Voice app, Google Maps with My Location support, Opera Mini 5 support (even though the phone comes with Opera Mobile...sometimes it's nice to use a browser with less overhead), etc. Based on the specs, the hardware is where the phone needs to be. Let's hope Sprint allows the software to match the hardware. Although, this settles it for me...I'm getting the Hero.
