Yea it's so you spend more money on more texts... It's all about the benjamins baby

If you have that much to text you could simply send a MMS without a picture.. i believe that will let you have 1000 characters... Of course this cost more than a standard text unless you have some sort of picture message package. Anyhow just another idea to throw out there.

yea well my friend has the iphone and when i send him pictures it says he has to have a username and password, so he writes it down from my message and then goes to gayt&t's site, its very time consuming so he doesnt bother doing it.

one would think that the purpose of the text message is to send a message not an essay.... I would believe that it's titled text message and not text essay or paragraph...btw the vogayer does suck

160 texts goes fast, it doesnt have to really be that long! lol it does not suck because the voyager is one of vz's hottest phone.

"Geez whats all the fuss about..?" .. then he picks it up to turn it over and the screen goes black, and it says BLAckBERRY STORM *Thunder* .. Coming soon, VZW

I wonder why no wi-fi? I also wonder how many people will not purchase it because it doesn't have that. I own a Treo now, and at work I can play with a iPhone, and I can say that even though i'd probably never buy an iPhone, I can say that it is nice with wi-fi. I hit safari, and it loads and I browse some sites when I am bored, then put it back. The reason wi-fi I believe is valuable is because it will allow you to access the net when you DONT have data access, or just dont want to worry about data from the cell towers. It's all about being able to be flexible. I had a Treo 800w for a short period of time, and when I had it, it was nice having the wi-fi. This may not be a determining factor for some, but since there are so many other phones with it now, and will be, I just cant see why they didnt include it. The HTC Diamond and Pro (coming soon) both have it. I guess we'll just wait and see.

wifi + gsp = crackable free internet...

28. (unregistered) posted on 08 Oct 2008, 10:25

if you get data with the blackberry on verizons network i really don't see the need to have wifi. i live in buffalo and have never been in an area when i did not get the 3G speed. i see what your saying...obviously wifi would probably be faster, but if your not living in the country and you "got the network behind you" lol, i dont see a need for it. the iphone NEEDS wifi, cuz their 3g network is trash....thats just my opinion of course. i know they have the best global coverage not going to argue that....but US coverage...doubtful....my roomate has a 3g iphone and i have a lg voyager and he wont get internet when hes standing right next to me....true story

GSP? George Sainte Pierre?.... UFC????

41. (unregistered) posted on 08 Oct 2008, 13:03

Sure it has GSP, but does it have BJ Penn?

43. secondcor517 posted on 08 Oct 2008, 13:38

you don't need wi-fi w/ the 3g coverage.

46. vzw fanboy (unregistered) posted on 08 Oct 2008, 14:47

unfortunately :-(...there are places in this country where there isnt 3g coverage and since wifi is a bit faster, and if i were sitting in a doctors office or college dorm room or somewhere boring i would use any available wifi over 3g. if a phone has wifi tho, doesn't it drain battery life even more?

Also, note that Verizon has a licensing agreement on all Blackberry's sold by them mandating internet/email service on the device - you can call or go in to any store and they will tell you. Therefore, it would be redundant to have mandatory internet service AND wi-fi. That will do nothing but drive up cost on the device for no reason other than to say "Ooohh, it has wi-fi!"

Cricket was invented first so to be fair, I guess baseball is like cricket. It's also a crappy regional carrier.
