Good news Motorola DROID owners. Verizon will start pushing out the Android 2.2 Froyo update to your phones starting next week...

Good news to hear...2.2 ROM is out for CAPTIVATE, but I hear it slows it down a little, so will just have to wait until the FALL when SAMSUNG officially releases it, or a better ROM is released.

A couple of the things in the update are as follows: 1. Flash 10.1 2. Save apps to SD Card 3. 720p video recording 4. Improved system performance 5. The update will start Aug 3rd and be rolled out over several days. Found the timeframe while browsing through infomanager at work.

Good news. I rooted my DROID but went back to stock 2.1 b/c i felt like I was missin some features. Plus my once faithful bluetooth wasn't working properly, phone was gettin ridiculously hot, and my phone would go crazy when i had it plugged into my pc. Luckily official upgrade is comin but then again, my X is comin on Monday so i guess i won't get to enjoy the benefits just yet...
